IF YOU IS A BOOK CHARACTER...

...post here.

Maggie, as a rabid bibliophile, will probably recognize you. I...probably won't.

Maggie's reaction is to be pinged - "Hey, that name sounds familiar!". However, she'd treat you like a shy fangirl meeting her celebrity. To clarify for the rabid fangirls, this is limited to staring and following if she can help it and downright ( Read more... )

this is important

Filif is from a book series! A kind of small fantasy series but anyway. He's used to the staring and the shock, so I don't mind about that, but I'd prefer not to bring up the fictional aspect.

Mugen has a manga version, but I dunno. It was a small two-volume thing. :P

Cheri's original form of canon is a novel series, but KKM also has a manga! O:!

Sora, Komui, Ritsu, Sakaki, and Matsumoto are all from manga. Only with Komui do I not encourage the "you are fictional" staring.

Scarlett is from the manga series of her canon.

Ronan is from a series of books.

Thing is, doesn't everyone have a different picture of what book people look like in their heads anyway? How is she going to recognise a purely textual character?

That said, Kon's from comics, Robin's series had a spin-off comic, Minagawa's from a manga series, and there were a series of Smallville novelisations that have stills from the series on the covers so its possible Maggie could recognise any of mine. Random staring is okay, but only Robin and Kon are okay with knowing that they're fictional, and Robin gets a little touchy about it.

Maggie could be pinged by names, and getting to know the character would remind her of the book.

I guess the whole 'turn up to stare at you' thing confused me, because that suggests a visual response.

It occurred to me when someone introduced himself to Maggie. Maggie would've recognized the name if he had been from a book, but before that point this guy's just another person.

Ack, I should've made that clearer.

Hi. :)

Enjolras is from a classical novel. If you haven't read the book yourself but think that Maggie would be familiar with it, I can provide any relevant information you want. I'm perfectly comfortable with jumping, but I would prefer to avoid "SPOILERZ: U ALL DIE."

Maladict is from a contemporary fantasy novel. Again, jumping is fine. My only request is that any threads involving spoilers from the novel are marked as containing spoilers.

Tatsumi is from a borderline-BL, shoujo fantasy manga from the late 1990s. Do whatever you want with him.
