It really, really bothers some people. If it's done well, I don't mind it. But it puts some of our friends right off.

I dunno what's best for everyone. Like I said, I'll read anything if it's well written. But if the tenses switch back and forth, from whatever to whatever, I can't read it.

I just put the warning so that people will know and not bother to read it, if it's only going to annoy them.
