Hey, everybody! I missed you!!!

I'm back from my ski vacation. Actually, I came back last Sunday night, but this week was hectic and not in the good way, so I had to post-pone my greetings to now, while the Italian TV is giving old reruns of WaT season 2.

As usual, if some of you has something important going on in her/his life, please leave a ( Read more... )

Oh I love the snow!!! We hardly ever get any here....

And the other pics?? They make me miss Rome, and you!! I know, different city, but they all look the same for an ignorant American like me-lol.

LOL! No, it's okay. I understand that when something is so different from your environment, in the end everything looks the same to you. I think I described Verona in some old post... in case I find it, I'll give you the link.

Anyway: Both Roman cities? Check.
Both Renaissance cities? No, Verona is, but Roman remains from the Middle Ages were destroyed. We still have Baroque a lot, though, so from 1550, 1600 on.
We also have more 19th Century architecture than Verona.

I miss you, too!!

I think you should try.
Now, it's also true that I come from a... Romam city with a lot of Baroque and 19th century (see reply above), so Renaissance and Middle Age have a lot of appeal to me. If you are not into old architecture or you're fed up with 'Comuni' and 'Signorie', you might be less enthusiastic than me...
I think Verona is the right city, not too big and too small, with a lot of monuments and 'piazze', a good shopping and a river and a castle. That's what makes a city interesting to me.

What a wonderful pics. Your cell phone is excellent (or you’re a great photographer!), the snow pics are fantastics, and I love the one of Madonna di Campiglio and Piazza Bra in Verona. Verona and that zone of Italy (if not the whole country) looks incredibly beautiful. I had seen some pics of Verona, Padova and Venice since my nephew is studying during this year in Padova and he showed us a lot of pics of that zone (and from the Toscana, as well) when he was back at home last Christmas. I'm glad you had your deserved good time skiing,I hope M. is better soon.
Hugs,
Loreto.

Yay, we're both back! I'll try to write you a more personal letter. I should seriously consider taking your email addy with me at work, so I could write you from there, where apparently I'm more focused than at home!

If you ever see Italy, apart from having the wish to meet you in my city, you definitely need to see Venice, that's unique and romantic, and Verona. I'm glad that your nephew showed you something, I hope he likes being there.

The snow is always magical... especially for us who don't see it where we live.

Love

I'll stay tuned, my dear!

I watched your album, it was a pleasure, but I had seen it already 2 years ago, and even downloaded a few pictures.

My full albums are here:

A bit boring cuz, as usual, I don't put my face on the web, so I uploaded only the ones about general views.
