Wat commentary and a bonus

With some delay, this is about my comments, rants and doubts about the latest episode: 5x16, the infamous 'Without you'.

First thing: I liked the episode, overall. I know, it means that I gave up to WaT and I'm watching this new show, with a lot of drama and heart-beats, but I had figured things to be worse than they were. After all, I barely saw ( Read more... )

I'm glad I did. It was no efort at all to notice Danny and Martin canon love, this time as usual.

I've gotten out of touch with the show but it sounds like a long set up for Danny to fall off the wagon and who better to help him than someone who's been there for exactly the same reason: falling for the wrong person at work. Whether they mean to or not TPTB are making Danny/Martin possible. I almost love them. Almost.

First of all, thank you for your thoughts and I'm hopeful to write you soon.

As for this stupid storyline, I'm holding tight to a ratty rope, so it might be that I fall with my a** heavy on the ground. But it's helpful for a fic I have in mind... a personal interpretation of what's happening to Danny and how poor Martin is distressed to see his love so awfully distracted...

I haven't watched it yet coz I was dreading to face the inevitable. Having said that, after reading your commentary makes me want to watch it.

Jack/Elena, perfect together?? Hmm, now this I've got to see.

The inevitable happened and I'm very afraid that it won't be over so easily, but it was good to breathe some hope for a week.

I swear that the only one that I can see with her is Jack. When they work together she finally loses her arrogant attitude and follows him.

Though I felt sort of bad for Danny seemingly going to be the one left out in the cold in the relationship, the ending sort of made me hopeful for an end to this horrid Danny/Elena mess. I just don't see exactly where this relationship could go any further, really...

I second your words, all of them.
Though magazines go on talking about their steamy romance, in canon we don't see any of that, but only a love-sick Danny and an arrogant Elena (or a single mother who is very caught by her role, in the least).

TPTB bought me a week of hope and I'm not wasting it behind my fears.
