Apparently, I need to re-write most of what season 4 showed us. I wrote an angsty Danny/Martin (who else?!) fanfic which takes place during the Road home and goes on for a bit.
It's divided in two parts, to ease the pain (I hope in the angsty sense of the word *g*) of the reading.

If I were not at work; tears would be streaming down my face. I love how this shows us what Martin went through.

well, thanks. I suppose that's what I meant to write: the ansgty and more realistic part where we learn what actually Martin had to live, and not only a random meeting.

The second part is hopefully a little less angsty... just a little bit. *g*

You know I think the last line got to me, all that pain and Martin finding the will to do what's best.
This was such an emotional piece, I loved the benie touch and Martin finding comfort in it.
And Danny feeling Martin's pain, and his memories of his own addiction.
It played very good.
Also, when part two?

I'm glad you noticed about the toque. It seemed quite obvious to me, and you know I always see that side, where they need the more affection they can get.

If I remember to post it -*g*-, part two should come out tomorrow or Friday.

Oh my... *wipes away tears* I love me some angst but wow. This story hurts! And it's just SO much better than the way this whole storyline was handled on the show. I can't wait for part 2.

Thank you. I wrote most of this fic a while ago, so I'm surprised that people think it is that angsty, but I guess it was just what I needed to write.
Second part is supposed to come out tomorrow, if I remember posting it *g*.

I love the emotional connection you built between them even as they're afraid. That mix of determination, fear and yearning. You played it out so nicely. Thank you!

Well, it is so easy to read in their minds that all I'd like to have is a better English to express it!
