They're the consistent ones. I heard new songs during the 'tests' and they generally don't come back again.

I would like to know as well. Remember that 'shared ability' test? Since we all know each other's abilities, we can use that as the first stepping stone.

I remember that. Their conflict was over politics and territory, unless I'm mistaken... Having it does help him survive, but it'd be better if he knows how to control it.
