2011 Wrapup and January Optimism
Well, internets, 2011 was not my best year, I think, but it wasn't too terrible for me personally. I started my senior year in college, lost my military scholarship for medical reasons, but got my medical crap mostly under control. Alas
So two weeks and two days ago, whilst I was at a weaving class, my car was broken into. Passenger front window smashed, schoolbag taken. In the schoolbag: my laptop (what the thief was looking for, I assume). Goal Refresher
At the beginning of every calendar year for the last few years, I set goals of things I'd like to accomplish during that year. Not resolutions per se; those have the connotation to me of ongoingness and repetition, like "exercise x days a week" or "stay within a good budget" or whatnot. Interesting
I was browsing around on the internet today when I stumbled across this article on Wikipedia. (Actually, I found it while searching for information about overstimulation to see how it relates to my brain.) "Highly sensitive person" seems like it fits me perfectly. It's interesting that this apparent sensitivity to stimuli is associated with shyness ( Read more... )
