So. I read THE BOOK.

Jul 23, 2007 09:35

I'm not going to put any spoilers in, not for my f-list, who I'm sure have all finished, but for Mom & Em, who I'm sure havent.  Except for the icon.  *points to icon*  That's the part I'm the most royally upset about, actually.  Funny ol' world, innit?

Hubby actually drove me to Taos, NM (because there isn't a bookstore one in Red River, NM) ( Read more... )

pictures, drama, dgficexchange, theatre, harry potter, auditions

WHAT THE CRAP.

No, I mean it. WHAT THE CRAP.

We should discuss this.

I finished it at...I believe... around 1 or 2 AM the 22nd.

I cried so hard when someone died that I gave myself a nosebleed and had to leave the room so as to avoid bleeding on my precious first-edition, which is now probably worthless anyway due to tear-stainage.

We've already discussed a bit, but I think there is tonnes more we can gripe about. That book was SO flawed! SO VERY flawed!

*snuggles Draco.

PS I *adore* the icon!

Oh, yes. The griping will continue for years, I'm sure.

That was a very sweet thank-you note, by the way. :)

And I'm all for the Dallas-esque "Bobby(Draco) has a dream in the shower" thing.

*points at icon* No, he does NOT.

It's just so ARGH!!!!

Daddy has worked hard on the preserves let you. He's a preserves fiend! And I only speak the truth in the note. *smiles*

Well, you saw what I did with the crapologue. I can just ignore the epilogue. The events of the book don't bother me nearly as much (except Fred dying and the complete arse kicking the poor Malfoys had to take) as the epilogue. You know, Draco and Gin were at school for nearly a year with any of her pesky brothers or that annoying Potter brat around...

What a disappointment.

Hubs came in wordlessly and brought me a cup of my favorite tea. He glanced at the book that had been tossed against the bathroom wall. Then he looked at me, just set down the tea and backed away.

What a smart man your hubby is *pats him* I wish mine had thought to say more than, "If it's that bad don't read it" *rolls eyes*

My husband is reading it now. I heard him yell, "Oh, for crying out loud!" from the other room last night, along with "That's not right!" and some other remarks comparing J.K. Rowling to a female dog.

Oh dear! Well, at least he understands why the book hit the bathroom wall...
