A Pox On You and Your House.

Did you know there's a Chicken Pox vaccine now?  Is the Chicken Pox even in other countries?  They're pretty horrible (itchy, scarring, and you can even DIE from them) and now (as of 5 years ago) there's apparently a vaccine that's supposed to prevent them.  A pretty crappy vaccine, evidently, as there were several documented cases last winter and  ( Read more... )

I DID, in fact, know that that there was a vaccine. My kids got it. Very important since Jay hasn't really been exposed (well -- he got ONE pox when he was 13... but they aren't 100% sure that that was enough - so he coul dget REALLY ill if he gets it).

Funny -- Jay doesn't call me by my name... but now all his friends at work call me 'Jess' because HE does. Though I HATE having people who aren't Jay or my Grandpa (he calls me Jessie) call me anything but Jessica. Hmmm.

And YAY for a new podcast! Woot! ;)

I don't really like nicknames from other people, (usually cause it's 'Carebear' or something equally distasteful) but Nolan's ALWAYS called me by a nicname.

I don't think one pock counts. I hope these boosters work!

You'll love the podcast. I had the best time doing it. It's nothing but GOOD stuff. Happy, funny, fluffy....

I answered there, but I will here, too.:)

I've already uploaded the mp3 podcast to the website. Lyndsie will have to do the rest, as I only have so much control. But if she uploaded it early last month, chances are that she'll do it again this month!

Wheeee!! Podcast! *is excited* Oh, I am so gonna head into uni that day just so I can download it (and it's the holidays), unless the new internet planny thingy that Dad's getting is any better than our current one. Of which I am highly doubtful. *sigh*

I thought the chicken pox vaccine had been around for ages and that my brother got it when he was born. Obviously not. Ok, no. Mum reminds me that he got chicken pox when he was a bub. I must've been talking about it with someone else. OUCH for Ethan and Aaron. I hate shots, although I don't faint or scream and run away like some people I know.

*giggles* My boy only calls me by my whole name like everyone who doesn't know me well enough to call me by my shortened name... because he hates nicknames. I used to hate it, but I've gotten used to it. Still cringing? *looks concerned*

It's only been a week. Maybe I'll get used to it.

Probably not.

This month's podcast is probably the best yet. I think it's my favorite, anyway.

A podcast without tears? *Gasps*
I feel faint all of a sudden.

I think Big N is messing with your mind. I applaud him :P

I know. It's a big step.

I'm sure he's messing with my mind. Undoubtedly. And enjoying every minute. That's just who he is!

Ugh. Shingles are terrible. I've never had them, but some relatives and friends have. *shudders*

I can only hope hubs forgets about the name thing...
