Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles  **

Okay, I didn’t go in expecting much, so I wasn’t too disappointed.  The boys loved it and I giggled a few times.  It was blessedly PG, there was no swearing like the live action movies from years past (Important when your target audience is 5 & 7).  Splinter sounded a little like a stroke victim, and the animation ( Read more... )

I LOVE Mogambo. Totally fab! It was still a bit racy for even the 1950s. It's actually a sorta kinda sequel to a movie Gable made back in the 1930s called Red Dust.

And the Big Sleep is the BEST. That conversation in the coffee house about horse racing is divine! That scene was actually added six months after the movie was made to give them more chemistry since they went over so well in For Whom the Bells Toll together with audiences.

Yay for movies and having the time to watch them! Glad that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was appropriate for the kiddies -- I know Mum had hell trying to find movies that were actually ok for us to watch. I think she banned anything above G. :P

Your boys are so cute! I'm guessing the ones in the middle are yours? So adorable!

What adorable widdle turtles! You need two more, though, so you can get Leonardo and Michelangelo in there! ;) I loved the cartoon when I was little so I'm a little wary about this remake based on the trailers. And it's TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES, not freaking "TMNT" or whatever they're calling. I guess they think that kids can't say long titles like that anymore. *sigh*

I'm intrigued by Mogombo. I'll have to find it somewhere!

BITE YOUR TONGUE. I absolutely do not need two more turtles. The ones I have now swarm on me and seem like more than two.

I didn't even realize that it was TNMT til one of my students (who felt the same way you did about the title, incidentally) told me. *shrug*
