I was brought up using your parenting and it's how I plan to raise my own children. There are times when it gets frustrating--such as not being allowed to return arguments or speak at all when I'm in trouble, because sometimes there are miscommunications and things really are not my fault and that results in apologies later and resentment for a few days--but I see how some friends and family raise their kids that talk back, constantly push back, tell their parents they hate them, etc. I could not imagine doing that to my parents. Sure, I rant about them here, but that's letting out steam and I certainly do not do it in front of them. I was raised to have manners, especially in public. Hell what a brat. I loath 'kids' like this. I would have been killed (well, not literally, but you get the idea) if I even though of pulling shit like this. I hope that my kids think the same way coz they would never ever get away with stuff like this with us.
