You haven't seen the eps yet? They have both the Weeping Angels AND River Song. She's kind of annoying in the first part of the first ep (it's a two-parter) but it does open up a whole new can of worms in her backstory.

The angels are different, but no less creepy.

I'm still trying to catch up on my TV from the 6 weeks I took off when Meg moved down and then we went back up north and then Steve, Kat, and the kids came down.

I haven't even started on Doctor Who.

Ah... Family stuff always trumps fandom. :)

I'm actually watching series 5 as it airs, more or less, so there's a lot more anticipation for me than before. Before I was mainlining them (like I'm doing with Fringe now) to catch up, so it's a bit of a different feel.

I like Amy. She's Not Quite Right somehow, and she's not Martha (my fave so far) but she's very fun. Some commentary around the intarwebs think that Karen Gillan can't pull off the role quite well, but I think she's doing a good job.

I saw a Frank for sale a few weeks ago when I was down at the Williamsburg pottery buying flowers. They have huge a huge stoneware sections. There were several owls.

The people next door to me have a weeping angel statue in their front yard. It creeps me out...

On a side note, the girl who plays Amy is my mental Ginny Weasley.

UGH. There's not very much statuary in my neighborhood, thankfully... though there is one house that has about a million little stone cherubs in the front yard. I don't mention to my walking partner how much trouble we're going to be in when those things grow up.

What's her face is probably a much better actress than pretty Bonnie Wright. I agree. Ginny, for sure.

Definitely loving the New Who. I've seen comments in comms about how they hated the details about the Weeping Angels changing, but the Doctor even mentioned that their MO was different in that ep. Creepiest moment was in Flesh and Stone, when they were stalking Amy.

I like Amy. I think Martha's my favorite companion in New Who, but I do like her a lot. I still think there's something Not Quite Right about her, tho, and I can't wait to see how the arc plays out in the next bunch of episodes. :)

You know, I only saw one or two eps with Martha. I was one of the few people in the world that really liked Rose. But I like Amy better, and the new Dr. is growing on me.

Rabbity.

Hee.

I think there's more to her story. And i really like how they've set her up, knowing the Dr. from childhood and having him scar her and so forth. :D

Oh, I like Rose, too. I think some of the eps with her are uneven, but there are some really, really good ones. Of course, her series introduced Jack, whom I adore, so it's all good on that count, too. :)

I liked Donna, too, tho more by the end of the series than at the beginning. She was very shrill and almost annoying then.

Now I know what I'm getting you for Christmas.

Just kidding... it's coffee. I know, the great coffee exchange. Still, it would be kind of fun to find out if I could hear you yelling all the way from Texas.

You could. Ew. Ew, ew, ew. And the shipping would be astronomical.

Your CD should be coming in the next few days!

I guess this means you're going to have to do up a roster for 24-hour-staring-at-Frank guard duty just to be sure.

Amy Pond is lovely lovely lovely. Also I am in love with Eleven. :)

Crap. I'm not taking the shifts at dark.

Eleven is sort of sweet and has started growing on me, admittedly. :D
