My life has been shifted.

And no one was maimed, hurt or died during the process.  We're gonna call that a win.  172 (I think) boxes and 68 pieces of furniture. The moving guy said, "You guys have a lot of stuff."  Thanks, pal.  Move along.

I haven't been this tired in a very long while.  Tired to the bone.  So tired that when I actually sit down, I want to curl up in a ball ( Read more... )

[laughs]

Internet still not taken care of. Nolan didn't like what I'd done. Trying not to want to choke him down. Am pirating off of a neighbor, but the signal is spotty. I have to hold my mouth just right for it to work. So there's that.

So, you're using your fillings to get more gain on the antenna? :-D

Seriously, though... I told you it would work.

I'm feeling better; my lip is almost healed and I'm only a little sore, but I don't know whether it's from moving or getting rear-ended.

Probably both.

Looking forward to pictures. :-)

I finally figured it all out, with a little help from tech support, and my husband. Now windows isn't working, go figure. But one of my students put Firefox on my laptop, and I find that I like it a lot. It even has a little livejournal log in thingy. Who knew?

Well, you, obviously...

*hugs* Don't worry, this too will pass - soon enough. The settling in part that is.

Try getting some rest though. Unpacking when you are knackered (ooo, how I love that word!) is really tough. When you are nice and fresh, things happen quicker. Well, at least for me...

I took your advice and went to bed at ten last night... I don't remember the last time I did that, and after 9 1/2 hours of uninterrupted sleep, I actually didn't want to string up the dog when she woke me up. :) Going to arrange furniture today. That's the fun part.

I wondered just yesterday when it would start to feel like home. I'll let you know.

Glad you're back with us! We've missed you!

I'm glad you are moved. I understand about the exhaustion. I've moved 3 times in the last 4 years and yeah, it's always an experience that makes me want to curl into the fetal position and sleep for years.

I hope the internet situation gets sorted out soon. Miss seeing you around. :)

YAY for finally being in your new Barbie Dream House! I'm really glad your lip is healing and you get to enjoy your big beautiful house. You deserve some good after the last few weeks (well, you always deserve some good - but you know what I mean) and I'm giddily excited for pictures. Perhaps a few of the box maze woudl be nice too! :D
