Wearily rubbing my eyes, I left the room where Cordy was and headed downstairs. Who would have thought that behing behind the phones would ever constitute as a break from everything for me? Either way, I was glad that Cordy was alive and seemingly unscathed by the ordeal. Willow on the other hand, she was a whole other ball game. No, a whole other ( Read more... )

Lorne was literally running around like a great big red eyed chicken with it's head cut off. Although I can understand that having a gigantic stake protruding from your girlfriend's chest can be rather alarming, I seemed to be taking it better than he was.

He was gaping at me with an open mouth. "Lorne?" I asked him. "Drink?" I made a little shoo motion.

I turned to Groo. "Help me get this damn thing out of my ribcage, will you?" I grasped the part that was protruding out the front and Groo grabbed the part that was in my back. "Alright, give it a push."

I gritted my teeth and braced myself. I pulled hard and Groo pushed, and the stake came out. My body heaved and lurched, and the second it left me, I coughed up a mouthful of steely viscous blood. Tasty. "Holy mother of FUCK!" I screamed loudly with the pain. I reeled forward slightly, then steadied myself. Looking down, I frowned. Ruined my damn The Killers teeshirt.

"That's gonna need a bandaid," I said with a frown as I snapped the stake over my knee and tossed it into the

I too, put on a smile and crossed my arms infront of my chest, feeling a slight pinch of disappointment as Nia left my grasp. "Well, sweetness," I told Fred, "I am trying to keep the lines clear incase anyone decides they want to phone and you know, let us know if everything's okay. If they don't call soon, I'm thinking about sending out a search party. A search party to find the search party, which would be Angel, and oh for the love of god, why can that man not learn how to use his cellphone?"

I sighed and rubbed the back of my neck, giving Nia a hopeful look. I wanted to direct the topic of conversation away from her and the nature of her injury, because I knew it was a topic that she didn't want spread around. She would tell Angel about it when she was ready.

"Well, I do hope Angel has found Willow safe and sound," I went on. "I'll keep my fingers, toes, and horns crossed that he gets to her before anything bad happens."

I had not said anything up until this point, knowing that my lack of understanding when it came to these prophecies was a hinderance to me. I had kept my thoughts, opinions, and ideas to myself, knowing that because I was unfamiliar with this type of thing, I may only come across sounding rather idiotic.

But Lorne's last statement was one I could attest to. I stood up from my seat and looked at everyone else. "I am afraid it is too late for that," I announced, with a quiet voice. I looked at Nia and Lorne, knowing they would not want to discuss the things in regards to Nia's earlier revelations. I was careful to avoid the topic. "When Nia and I spoke to the man known as Gavin, he had informed us that Willow had killed a woman by the name of Lilah. I fear it might not be the first or the last person she has killed thus far."

"Oh. I guess at least it was Lilah, but still. It'd be nice if she could bring down the whole lawfirm for us." I got looks for that. "Sorry, that was bad."

I had noticed the hole in Nia's shirt and the blood, but hadn't said anything until now. "And you look wounded, but being a vampire you'll heal up quickly. And you probably already knew that." Something bothered me about where the wound was, though.

"What happened? It almost looks like...but, that's impossible because you'd be a big pile of dust by now. They must have shot you or something..." I knew better, but I wasn't going to push it if she didn't want to tell me.
