We're going to have to dig a mass grave for all the dead women. There are like, tons of 'em. :D

That is a fantastic portrait shot! What lens did you use to get such a narrow depth of field?

It's a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II lens. Cheap and cranky, but it takes great portraits.

I've really enjoyed playing with it. Excellent lens for the price, definitely.

Oh, nice, a prime then? I really need to get a prime for my Olympus, but I am thinking about getting a true macro lens (instead of the hacky screw-on kit I use now). So many lenses, so little money.

He's so craggy and self-assured. Like a steampunk, kilted version of Robert Redford.

...yeah, I said it. What?

[editor's note: I have no idea what I'm talking about. Move along.]

I think he and Daniel Day-Lewis were separated at birth. Figure A:

Damn... First Robert Redford and then Daniel Day Lewis? Holy Crap!

How can I possibly live up to those comparisons? People are gonna meet me and be all, "Hmmmm ... I don't see the Robert Redford. And you ain't no Daniel Day Lewis, pal."

I really like this portrait, as I've already gushed to Libby about IRL. You can tell how serious Nathan can be, but also how gentle and amused he is at the same time.

He's a pleasure to hang out with.

Yay Nathan!

Um ... wow.

Libby, you are a wonder. Damn, I have a hard time reconciling that image with the face that looks back at me from the bathroom mirror. What do you have, some kind of 'Make Nathan Look Good' filter built into your camera?

:D

Oh bah. Now I'm blushing!
No, no filter. Just a great model and that awesome cheap-o 50mm lens.

I guess you better get used to being pretty. :)
