     It had started out as simple nostalgia; this is going to be Dean Winchester's first winter at the Mansion, and Hisoka Kurosaki has fond memories of last year.  The question of snow seemed a rather large one, ridiculously important in a way no other aspect of weather really is, but that's probably more to do with what can be done with snow that

Brett still isn't quite comfortable in the house, tending to walk around quietly, like he feels like he has to sneak when he thinks no one is looking; like he might be caught and chased out at any moment, though he has no valid reason to think this. It's just a strange place, with strange people, in a strange circumstance.

So when he hears bickering, he does come closer, but he doesn't announce himself when he comes to stand at the door and peer in; they're quite loud, but as soon as he can make out the actual words, he can't help but grin at the familiarity of it.

Brett isn't quite that insecure, just a bit on the lonely side (and, at times, the dramatic side; that'll be the age, though). It's abating, slowly but surely. He glances across at TJ, gives a small grin back.

"They do sound like they need some help. It'd almost be cruel of me not to." Oh hey, Brett has a cocky side. Who knew.

[Awwww, thank you - if you don't mind how abysmally slow I am with my poor kid here, I'm going to leave this one for a couple more exchanges at least; Brett isn't as involved as Deano.]

At the question, Brett cocks his head to one side and considers both team captains with narrowed, critical eyes. Dean is the obviously more athletic of the two, tall and broad-shouldered and capable; he'd be the easy choice to win on the surface. But Brett has met Hisoka, Hisoka was kind to him, and there's a tough kind of resilient energy to him that Brett knows from back home not to underestimate. He grins abruptly.

"Gotta back up your friends, right? That bigger one has too big-a mouth, anyway," he declares.

Next tag Brett is probably gonna wander off to handwave-talk to Dean and Hisoka, because lawl SO FAR BEHIND. You two, though. <3 <3 <3
