It's partially out of concern and partially selfish, but when Armand is done being sick, he washes up and rinses his mouth several times and goes to see Irisse. He doesn't know who else has seen Feanor to warn her, and he's still shaken himself, very much so.

It's worse than the brothers who don't remember him. Looking into those cold gray eyes and not seeing any recognition or softening, Armand could very much understand anew why some considered Feanor a monster not much better than the evil Vala he opposed.

He knocks, one hand still clamped over his mouth as he expects to be ill again, though there's nothing left now. And he still has the issue of Jaenelle's ring. How can he tell her he was mistaken that it would help her? It would sound like the most terrible betrayal when an enemy far worse than Curufin has arrived.

"I would like to believe that too. When he was here before he was kind to me. There is sense in there, and kindness and wisdom." Somewhere. Armand doesn't know how to reach it. But he sees her tears and his own were already half in his eyes. "May I hug you? I can't do anything else for you."

He can't do anything at all. And he hates it.

She shivers, and nods, though her shoulders are completely tense.

He heaves himself to his feet and goes to her, wrapping his arms around her. "I wanted to help..." He looks toward the ceiling, trying to give into his own tears, again.

She takes another deep breath and finally cries into his shoulder. --- "Promise me to take care of my daughters, if something --"

That almost undoes his calm, but he grits his teeth. Eventually he's able to say, "Nothing is going to happen to you."

"I will try to make it so, but all the same..."

He holds tight, trying to comfort her. "If you and your husband are both unable to take care of your children, I promise to raise them." And love them.

She sniffles a bit more and manages to murmur, "thank you, Fyrio."

"I hate to see the people I care about unhappy or distressed or in danger." He pats her back and shoulders some more.

"I feel the same way. Will you be alright?"

"I will," he assures her. "I am only upset, not in danger myself." Not so far anyway. "I will have to take the ring back. Jaenelle is vexed with me."

If Aredhel has thoughts on the matter, she keeps them to herself. She only removes the ring and places it on the table.

Jaenelle might get the Silent TreatmentTM for a while, though.

He studies it for a moment before slipping it back onto his finger, near the ring Draco gave him. "If only it would work for you. I don't understand anything about magic." He doesn't sound dangerously depressed, just tired and subdued. "Perhaps... if I apologize hard enough she may be able to make one for you."

"I would be grateful if you did no such thing," Aredhel says quietly. She has her pride.

"Would you consider it as a favor to me? I was more relaxed when I thought you safe."
