[Open Post]Hanami (Flower-viewing)

May 03, 2011 01:17

It's the second flower-viewing day he's celebrating, and a lot has happened for Tsuzuki: he acquired a boyfriend whom he's not quite sure how to relate to now, though he still loves Robin dearly; he found a niece in Sophie and helped her to make a wish; Hisoka found his way to this place unexpectedly, and now Tatsumi has arrived, a mixed blessing ( Read more... )

Sophie is going to wander over, break into a run and tackle Tsuzuki mercilessly, typist willing.

"UNCLE ASATO!"

With a whoop, Tsuzuki bowls over, Sophie atop him. He laughs, delighted, giving her a hug in return. "Hey, Sophie! How've you been?" he asks, grinning up at her.

Sophie grins wide, plants a loud kiss on Tsuzuki's nose. "I'm good! I made new friends!"

And they're almost her age, zomg.

"Really who? who? Anyone I know?" he asks, happy for her. He was always the odd kid out in his village, because of his eye color, so he can relate, after a fashion.

Guess it would be a shame not to appear for this one.... in_summer_leaf May 4 2011, 00:18:34 UTC
Hisoka is standing nearby with a plate of chicken salad and a glass of iced tea. "Hey, Tsuzuki, that shishi odashi was a good idea, wasn't it?" he says, between bites.

[Consider he's here long enough to admire the cherry blossoms and the rest of Tsuzuki's pond-side garden, and (typist willing) to give Tsuzuki a quick but affectionate hug. Then he will be off to the lakeside to work on his own project: building a boat.]

He looks up, grinning at his partner. "Isn't it? We had one of these in the garden in the house where I grew up: my dad thought it was a bit pointless, since the garden was enclosed by the house, but my mother said it made the place feel peaceful."

Hee, a short chat between them is good!

"Well, I agree with your mother," says Hisoka. He adds, "Scare away the wild turkeys, do you think?"

"It'll keep them from pecking at the flowers or poking around the pond," he says. "So what are you up to today?"

This is probably not going to be the same kind of picnic as last year, alas.

When Robin spots Tsuzuki, he pauses, takes a deep breath, then wanders over.

"Hi."

He doesn't anticipate the conversation being fun, but hey. It has to be had.

We don't have to make it very long either. If it's any consolation, Robin is going to be civil about it, of course. ♥

Tsuzuki looks up from a slice of cheesecake, grinning, though there might be a slightly wavery quality to it. "Hey there, Robin! See something that you like?" he asks, playfully.

"That little fountain over there's pretty nifty," Robin replies, purposely avoiding a flirty retort.

Pause.

"How've you been?"

Well, that was a surprising reply from Robin. Does he know...?

"I've been busy making that shishi-odashi: it was quite a bit of work, since I cut the bamboo too long the first time, so I had to redo parts of it," he says.

"So, how've you been?" he asks. There might be a hint that he's testing the waters.

Delilah might wander about, and she'll be like Tsuzuki, getting absorbed in the shishi odashi's quiet thuds and repetitive movements. She's not loud, or disruptive, just... contemplative.

Been quite a while since they interacted, so here she is. ^^ And I thought Tsuzuki might like someone friendly to talk to. ♥

Tsuzuki is likely a bit quiet after his conversation with Robin, and so he likely looks up at Delilah a bit surprised, as if he's shaking himself alert. Then he smiles. "Hey they, enjoying the spring weather?" he asks, his voice soft, but his demeanor welcoming.

"I am," Delilah replies, and she smiles a little. "The song of the earth is beautiful, in spring." She tilts her head. "It's been a while."

"It's one of the prettiest times of the year, isn't it?" he asks, looking up into the flowery branches above. "But yeah, it has been some time since we spoke. How've you been?"

As full daytime isn't exactly Adrian's first choice for spending time outdoors, when he pokes his head out towards the porch he'll simply call Tsuzuki from a distance. For now. Blankets have been invented, after all, to accommodate Moroi bothered by sunshine.

"Why look who's there but my old pal," he muses loudly. "Whatcha doing?"

Tsuzuki looks up, putting on a good face. He's still likely reeling a bit from his conversation with Robin, but he's managing to hold together. "Hey there, Adrian! I'm just celebrating the spring. You want me to bring a plate of food up to you?" he calls back.
