[Intro] A Double Dimensional Riftb

Meru was finally home after participating in what was basically the second Dragon Campaign. There may not always be peace, but she reasoned, at least things were better now. The world was safe, and slowly humans and Winglies might be able to integrate peacefully, one step at a time.

She hoped a good step could be taken right now. Standing in the ( Read more... )

Stealing the greeting slot! ^^ firstbornoflot January 16 2011, 21:22:15 UTC
Gawain was on his way out, probably to the stables where he intends to spend some time with his trusty steed, Gringalet.

When he spots the odd girl (with blue hair), he pauses, squints, and immediately decides that she must be a fairy.

His sword hand twitches, but fairies are not necessarily bad things to him (see his marriage to one).

"Greetings," he offers, a touch cautiously.

Figured he could show up, actually. ^^

Meru labels the other man a warrior right away. But not all warriors are bad, and she ventures a heart-meltingly cute smile.

"Greetings yourself," she answers. "Are you a knight of this castle?"

"Aye," Gawain replies instantly, "who be asking, pray tell?"

I'm going to be slow, being computer-less atm - but feel free to assume he does the right thing for future interaction. ^^

Meru might come across a pair of identical twins, very lovely boys, in their apparent late teens.

They're in the middle of a snow fight, and having a great time throwing snow balls at each other.

She's free to interrupt.

Hey, that looks like fun! These boys don't seem hostile at all, so Meru approaches easily.

" 'Scuse me?" she asks politely. Better not to startle people with snowballs.

One of the boys is distracted enough to be hit by his brother's throw, though. "--- Eru---"

Pause.

"Hello."

Whoa. She's pretty. That's what both are thinking, but particularly the single one, Elurin.

Brienne can be found sitting by the hearth and tending to a sword, careful to not cut herself. Her hands are big and bandaged from earlier skirmishes, and she is quiet.

Thoughtful.

Meru approaches thoughtfully as well. "You must also be another warrior?" she asks abruptly, unconcerned as to whether or not she'll startle Brienne.

Brienne starts, she drops the sword and barely manages to avoid cutting herself.

"Mind that you don't creep on folk as you do," she says, and turns around, looking fairly unhappy.

She's just a tetchy little thing - old habits die hard. An apology should do the trick, though.

So here is an old man, walking on the snow-white Mansion ground and smoking a sweet-scented pipe.

He can be prodded for information.

Thankfully, the Merlin looks harmless enough.

Meru can smell the pipe from a little distance and it is quite nice and calming.

"Excuse me sir, but can you tell me where I am?" she asks, bouncing over. "I seem to have gotten a li'l lost."

"This, lass, is called the Mansion," the Merlin replies kindly.

He's already amused by her sprightly behavior.

Duck is one of the least alarming inhabitants of the Mansion, not unless afraid of perky little redheads. She's sitting in the main room with a huge pile of toast and a bowl. She has a pattern she's following. She'll eat one bowl and crumble the other into the bowl, so she can feed it to her bird friends outside.

In exploring the Mansion, Meru wanders into the kitchen and notices Duck. She watches the toast pattern for a few seconds before asking, "What're you doing?"

Duck looks up with wide eyes. Oh no! She probably thinks I'm weird. Is this weird? She hopes her panic doesn't show as she smiles. "I'm just enjoying some toast. I want to share the rest with my friends, my bird friends."
