[Crackplot] Weeee, it's winter. Or something to that effect.

Dec 04, 2010 17:08

The grounds of the Mansion lay dark and dead, the trees grey and the grass sear and yellow-brown.

The air in the Mansion had a chilly feel to it, as if winter had crept into the woodwork. And once asleep, perhaps some Mansion dwellers dream of silvery winter days, building snow forts, lighting with candles.

When Mansion dwellers wake up, this ( Read more... )

Old Lady Genkai stepped outside to merely appreciate the snow. However by the time she arrived to the porch, The Spirit Wave technique was automatically activated and turned up a bit. Turning the aged, grumpy, weathered hag into a cute, spunky girl that could be at least in her mid-to early teens. She's still incredibly short. She blinks a little, she swears she can hear a laugh outside.

She wonders outside and starts to silently prepare snowballs with a cocky smirk on her face. "Come and get it!"

Warning to all comers, despite her youth, Genkai is still very strong. Her right arm might as well be a cannon.

The kid who shows up is looking a bit quixotic. Merlin is back to the very young days of his youth, before even lord Vortigern sought him out to fetch his blood.

He gives the pink haired girl a matching grin. "Get it? Oh, I don't think so, but you can try," he taunts.

He'll make himself a very difficult target. At this age, he's very much like a sprite.

Very much like Gellert, in fact.

And if anyone else wants a Merlin, let me know and I'll punt him wherever, of course!

So here we have two cocky, extremely powerful teenagers playing in the snow. God help the poor person that gets in the crossfire.

The young Genkai laughs, pleased that there is someone actually brave enough to play with her. In the Academy, some of the Teachers were actually afraid of her, and at least 90% of students did not want to spar with her out of fear that they might get killed by . Thankfully, she mellowed out later on, but the nickname of 'wildcat' was well earned.

"We'll see...First you need to quit talking." In a flash, she throws the snowball at Merlin.

The young Merlin chuckles and when the snowball comes his way, he opens his hand, as if throwing sand, and the ball explodes before it reaches him.

"First," he corrects, "you'll need to start making better snowballs."

Oh yes, he's doing it on purpose.

And as I don't have an Aramat tag to tag into, Merlin has a tag here, and Helen's is here. Up to you!

For Fuchsia to awaken feeling like a child is neither remarkable nor unexpected by either herself, or those who know her ( ... )

Despite the seriousness of the icon, the two young boys who are hopping about and joining in the snow angel making are fairly joyful.

Both are oblivious to the fact that they're younger than they should be - when the magic wears out, they may only remember this vaguely, like a dream. And they'll know what it means, they've been at the Mansion long enough for that.

So Fuchsia might hear some giggling in the vicinity. The boys are going to make angels too, but not for a very long time. They have a bit of a short attention span.

And if you were interested, L is posted here.

If any one else wants the twins, they're welcome to poke them directly here, since the tag isn't overly specific. ^^

Fuchsia rolls over in the snow at the sound of the giggling.

"Do your creations look any better than mine?"

The kids chuckle and stare back at her. "Well, ours look like monks in robes. Were you trying to make an orb?"

Pasha has never minded the cold. And as he was teased when he first arrived from a Siberian winter, he certainly has the clothes for it. He bundles up and goes out, almost happy for the stinging cold on his pale face.

Then.

He's quite a bit shorter and younger himself, and fiery freckles stand out on his pale, rather serious face. He pulls the coat around his thin shoulders and steps up beside the unfamiliar girl. He's too shy to speak, though he looks aside at her, wondering why she's so amazed at snow. It's just snow. It always snows in Moscow.

Even though this isn't Moscow.

Well, Aramat is from a place were snow might as well be a joke. Still, ooooh freckles.

She notices him and confused look is on her face. "Hello?"

Being addressed makes him smile. Girls don't talk to him. But politeness makes Pasha awkward. "You look a little surprised," he says, afraid to seem too enthusiastic at being greeted.

Let's be completely honest. Not much is going to change, whether L is 8 or 24. Aside from, of course, his body and perhaps the lies he'll be telling.

In effect, his body and sociability are now perfectly aligned... for a weird child.

It's too cold to be barefoot, that is true. He's (for once) wearing boots, not that he likes it, mind you.

But other than that, he's wearing a coat (but it's open), he's managed to lose his scarf and hat, and he's just crouching in the snow, blinking at it, and sucking on a lolly pop.

All that he really needs, though, is a nudge, to be taken into play with the other children.

The odd little boy (his hair is ridiculously mussed) looks up with large panda eyes - even at this age, he doesn't seem to get much sleep.

"Nothing," he replies, quietly.

He probably knows some French - Wammy's is a school for the gifted, after all. He might be in the process of learning it. But his response comes in English, which the Mansion might be kind enough to translate.

Armand went out to build a snowman, and it doesn't seem to bother him that he's so very short now, and that his coat is too big. But it's warm, and his little hands are much more dexterous with the snow.

Most people wouldn't let a happily babbly six-year old French boy loose alone in the snow, but he's used to getting away from his guardians. And it's snow! He's busy. He starts to hum as he works.

[OOC: Yes, this is the same icon as I usually use for the other Armand, but when they're little, they aren't that much different. This one is just as chubby, with brown hair and blue eyes. He might be taken for Etienne, except he's a bit older. Sorry, he speaks only French unless the Mansion takes a hand in it.]

There's a loud, happy whooping sound from the young blond boy who sees the snow and the boy building the snowman.

He jumps next to Armand, grinning. "Need some help?" He's speaking English but he can speak some French if necessary.

"I do," Armand answers, not even wondering who has joined him. This is what children do in the snow, isn't it? "It always takes too long by myself."

[OOC: After a panicked discussion, we decided there's no translation breakdown this time, so any language is good!]

"Have you done this before?" He picks up some snow, regarding Armand.
