The days are getting colder and shorter, and when he hasn't been napping on the couch or reading Anne Rice novels, Tsuzuki has been at work raking leaves on the garden paths and the lawns

There's somebody walking past who, unfortunately, probably won't make for very pleasant company. Melou pauses when he sees Tsuzuki, and just looks at him, almost disdainfully. He doesn't say anything.
Tsuzuki almost doesn't notice Melou at first. But at length he looks up, surprised to see him there. "Oh, hey there, enjoying the autumn foliage?" he asks. "Want some warm apple cider? I made it myself."
"You sure? It gets pretty chilly at night, and it helps to get something warm in your blood first," he says, pouring him a cupful anyway. "I'm Asato Tsuzuki."
Will is out for a walk, and he has Ebony with him, as usual. As soon as Ebony smells Tsuzuki's pie, however, she darts off towards it, before Will even has a chance to call her back.
There is now a curious little border collie puppy on Tsuzuki's blanket, sniffing at his pie.
At first, Tsuzuki almost doesn't notice the pup sniffing around, but then he spots her out of the corner of his eye and perks up immediately. "Whoa, hey there, little lady," he says, reaching out his hand to her, to let her sniff it. "Did you smell my food? We'll have to ask your master if you can have some."
Doggys, if there's anything Tsuzuki loves it's doggys, as he's rather puppy-like himself.
Ebony sniffs the offered hand and gives it a quick lick.
"Sorry," Will says when he catches up, apologising for Ebony's intrusion, though he doesn't look abashed in the least. He's grinning rather broadly, actually.
"Nah, no harm done," Tsuzuki says, scritching Ebony around the ears. "I love dogs: we had one when I was ali-- when I was a kid growing up. I can't have one where I live now, as it's against the rules, but I like other people's dogs. I'm Asato Tsuzuki."
