Should Utena venture outside into the garden, she might find Tsuzuki at work raking up the scattered fallen leaves that cover the groun like a russet and gold carpet. Spotting her, he looks up. "Hey there -- whoa, Utena, did you have a make over or something?" he asks, eyes widening with surprise.

Utena blushes a bit.

"I only cut my hair... is there anything wrong with it? You don't like it, huh?"

"Oh, no, it looks great on you, really!" he says. "I know you talked about it back in the summer, but I guess I wasn't sure if you were going to follow through on it."

He's speaking the truth about how good she looks, but he's trying to keep it to himself that he thinks she looked better with longer hair.

Different strokes for different folks.

"Well, I decided to. I felt as though I needed it..." It feels like a weight is off her shoulders, she also feels more... princely.

Shorthaired!Utena was one of the few reasons I bothered watching the movie. (Because Utena and Anthy gain a level of badass in the movie. Especially Anthy.) Although Akio had to lose a level. -_-0 And there there wasn't enough Juri. Oh well...

Bridget is being chased by Roger in what he sees as an impromptu game of tag and Roger has taken for 'training'. He's not paying much attention therefore, when he bumps into Utena.

"Oh! I'm so sorry!"

Squee! Wait, will a Bridget drop on another Bridget that needs to be dropped?XD

"It's fine! It's fine!" Aside from her voice, Utena looks like an extremely pretty boy.

She notes the running bear and points at it. "Whats that?"

It will! But it's rather like dividing by zero...

Bridget turns to look and beams. "That's Roger, my bear!" The bear comes to a stop and looks up at Utena.

OHMAHGOD.

Utena looks at Roger with wonder and pokes him. “How does he move?”

Niko's not particularly looking for anyone, but he can be found outside, practicing at his regular hours, should Utena want to show off her hair cut to his Healthiness.

Utena walks to Niko's practice area, as usual. "Hey Niko!" She says cheerfully. She's grown to like Niko as a friend and sort of a big brother.

Yeah, he tends to have that effect on people. That, or they die cowering in the face of his pointy objects.

He finishes his movement, and back into a neutral position. "Hey there, Utena -- whoa, what happened to your head? Did you have a run-in with a pair of scissors? Let me guess. They won."

“I let them win. Is there anything wrong?”

Utena's big-nosed Duelist Dad isn't actually out fencing, but if she wanders towards the kitchen, she might find him having a drink of wine, in fact. He's not writing, not doing anything other than looking out the window thoughtfully.

That is SO adorable, I don't even.

Utena smiles a bit when she sees him. (In the days that they have trained, Cryano is kind of like a Father to her.)

"Hi Cryano-sensei."

Cyrano turns around and smiles a little, then blinks. "-- Mademoiselle Utena," he blurts out -- "-- what happened?"

Cutting a lady's hair is a big, big deal where he comes from.

River, with her long hair, delicate dress and bare feet is probably the polar opposite of Utena in appearance when she encounters her in the mansion. She finds the military look of Utena's clothing a little offputting, but it doesn't really resemble the Alliance's uniforms so that helps. So she watches curiously, not yet approaching but not hiding herself either.

Utena notices River, for some reason she reminds her of the Shadow Girls at Ohtori... willowy, mysterious, enigmatic...although this one isn't as talkative.

"Hello there?"

"Hello." Pink hair. That's very unusual where she's from and she finds herself staring at it, trying to see if it's dyed or natural. It looks good on her, though, and starts River wondering what she might look like with different colored hair.

It's natural. Got it from her Mother. She tilts her head a bit. “I'm Utena Tenjou... you are?”
