We have a birthday today!

In a quiet corner, there's a little party set up. It's a birthday party, for a two year old Dea al Mon Warlord Prince. There's a table of food and drinks, and balloons (Aiden insisted), and all friends old and new are welcome. The rest of the Blood especially, they're hoping their extended family will show up. In the meantime, Aiden's racing ( Read more... )

Cyrano might have wandered in accidentally - and when he spots Gabrielle and Chaosti, he smiles - it's been a long, long time, but he remember them fondly.

"Good afternoon," he offers, very politely.

After all, he's also kind of family, what with his entanglement when Wilhelmina.

"Good afternoon!" Gabrielle gives him a bright smile, and Chaosti gives him a friendly enoug nod. "How have you been?"

Aiden looks up to see who Mama's talking to and waves at Cyrano.

Cyrano looks amused, and waves back at Aiden. "Well enough, thank you," he replies. "How are you all doing? It has been a long time, has it not." A beat, and he adds, "I don't recall this little one walked, last time we met."

"It's been a while," Gabrielle agrees. "We'd been keeping to ourselves mostly, I'm sure you know the sort of trouble that can come up here." Not something they'd want Aiden involved in.

The brothers aren't Blood - but perhaps the scent of Kalush, Aaron and Arianna is still all over theme. One is not a ward of the Blood without somewhat feeling like they belong.

Perhaps they saw their Mentor visiting - perhaps they didn't. At any rate, they're now smiling, a bit shyly.

Last time Chaosti met them, they were little boys - now, they're almost grown men, and Red is a bloodied warrior. The difference would be stark.

Chaosti has also heard about them and their revenge from Aaron, so when they arrive and he recognizes the scent of Aaron and family on them, he looks them over for a few moments before giving them a nod that's both approving and welcoming.

Gabrielle's heard about it from Chaosti, and when she sees the boys she rises and goes over, letting Aiden catch the balloon behind her. The toddler goes over to climb into Papa's lap with his prize as she smiles at the twins. "Hello! You must be the young men staying with Aaron and Kalush."

The boys bow, one of them colors brightly, the other doesn't. "We are," the twin who did not blush replies. "My name is Elured, this is my brother Elurin."

A hesitation, and he asks, "I hope we are not intruding..."

"Oh, no, not at all." She smiles. "I am Gabrielle, this is my consort Chaosti, and our son, Aiden." Aiden waves to and Gabrielle leans over to tell him, "These are uncle Aaron's friends." That earns them a grin.

This one's not an in-law, unless one night stands are that significant. All the same, she has a history with the blood and fears no-one.

She'll be wandering over, not sure what to do about the kid (but if he doesn't go to her, that's fine.)

"Hey there, birthday party, huh?" She's never been very good at formality.

"That's right," Gabrielle says, the more friendly of the two. "He's two," she adds, reaching to pat Aiden's hair as he runs back to her.

Chaosti of course is watching Anita in a way that she's probably entirely familiar with from meeting Lucivar. Shouldn't bother her too much.

If Anita's bothered (she's not), it doesn't ruffle her feathers in the least. Instead, she smiles shyly at the boy. "Well, happy birthday, kiddo. Hm. What's your name?"

She supposes his parents will probably not mind if she pays attention to the child. Even if she has no clue how to go about it.

"Aiden," he tells her, not nervous or shy around the stranger at all. "I have b'lloons!" He holds one up to show her, because he has decided after the last party that balloons are the best thing ever.
