[Open] Queens DO Sparkle!

Apr 29, 2010 23:50

Oh. My. God. That's all Belize has been thinking all morning - Belize has found something marvelous.

Wigs. Feathers. Purses. Pumps in HIS SIZE. Sparkling and glittering things. Make up. And he's just overjoyed, because he'd been missing the drag act, lately.

If a certain clothier with exquisite taste were to wander in a certain hallway of the ( Read more... )

Aramat walks in on the beautiful glittery man. She smiles out of pure amusement, and just how gorgeous he looks.

You know, some men really should dress in womens clothes.

Warning, although Aramat isn't a bigot, she's pretending to be the southern high class post civil war, chances are Aramat is far from P.C.

Belize glances over, gives Aramat a looking down. "Nice dress," he informs her. "A bit on the Scarlett O'Hara side, isn't it?"

No worries - Belize is both very laid-back and very much able to mouth off if necessary. Also very very gay, of course. XD Did you ever read (or watch) Angels in America ?

"It's meant to be that way."

Aramat would never admit it, but Gone With The Wind was one of the few novels published after 1914 that Aramat read voraciously, Scarlett O'Hara was her hero, a representation of what Aramat longed for when she young.

An evil, hypocritical (almost) lesbian Scarlett O'Hara is most like likely the best way to describe Aramat's character. No, I now have an interest, thanks to you. (Also want to check No Exit, and Starmania.)

"Interesting," Belize replies. "And have you ever read another classic, In love with the night mysterious?" Which Aramat wouldn't have, we don't think, as the book itself is fictional.

She really comes across to me as bisexual, is my understanding correct? (Or sliding a little on Kinsey's scal, anyway...)

And yay for more interest in my obscure fandoms! ^^ Angels in America is all on YouTube... If you're looking for Starmania, the English score was commercialized in some places as Tycoon, go figure. The French musical is all available on YouTube, though (it's 1980 version, it's really hairtastic *g*). No Exit is actually available for free on Scribd, if you go look for it.

--Well yes she does, mainly because she needs to. Otherwise we could imagine Favrille not sleeping, eating or even drinking too much as she needs to add the last touches to her temporary shop (at least she does hope it's temporary).

This time, it's small things like buttons in various shapes and sizes, that she needs. And she'll stop abruptly and might just enjoy the sight before deciding to punch in.

"Any buttons in that pile, by chance?"

Belize looks up, and even as queer as he is, he does notice that this lady is... well... remarkable.

"Hold on," he says, and puts the boa away - "Depends what you're looking for..."

Favrielle, you might have to be patient - the queen is busy digging out things for you.

"Well," she begins, and her lip curls in a way that doesn't make her scar look very pretty - unfortunately, "I think anything would do, at this time. You see, I can never know who will want what, and what sort of thing I might find fit to suggest, so... any shape, any color, just... buttons."

"Sounds fair enough - hold on," he's still rummaging in the box, and eventually holds up a bag triumphantly. "Ta da!"

And he'll hand it over to Favrielle, grinning. "Here you go."

Hiiiii. Missed her?

"Are you seriously going to wear that?"

Here she was, thinking that only Pavi had weird taste in clothes.

Uuuurgh, Pavi. Ew. >.> Belize really doesn't compare.

"Yes, I am," he replies tartly. "In case you didn't know, these actually do what clothes are intended to do. Cover the body."

"Is this supposed to be some smartass remark that should make me feel bad?"

She folds her arms across her chest, defensively.

"No, it's a smartass remark that doesn't let you insult the drag act, Barbi," Belize replies point blank. "If you had the tude, I'd fix you up, but as it is," finger snap snap, "I don't have time."

Oh yes, Belize is being a Queen.
