In the middle of the Mansion, great tables have appeared weighed down with all sorts of food. Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy and all sorts of things are laid out piping hot on one end, on the other are pies and cakes and cookies and other sweets. "Well," Hatter says when he wanders into the main room and sees the impressively laid out tables. "How 'bout that, then." Ordinarily he knows better than to eat mysteriously appearing food but with a spread as nice as this it just seems rude not to.

So he makes himself a nice big pot of tea, big enough to share should anyone else come along who'd like a cuppa, and fixes himself a plate.

Remy stops and stares at the spread in surprise, then he grins to himself. "Well now, I guess it's that time of year after all, ain't it." A bit of poking around finds him a few old Cajun favorites from home in addition to the standard turkey and potatoes and he decides to throw caution to the wind and help himself.

Ambarussa have been in the mansion for a very long time, long enough that they don't generally trust any food laid out without explanation. Instead of going over to the tables they hover along the wall nearby, discussing whether or not they think the food is safe to eat.
