[Reintroduction] I want a guy with the right allocations/Who's fast, thorough, and sharp as a tack

Tatsumi knew he shouldn't work so hard at night, but there are things to be done and people to prepare. (Plus Watari was stalling on that portal to the imaginary world, and he had to light a fire under the blonde scientists ass for it.) Sometime around one or two in the morning he starts to think about that strange dream he had sometime after the ( Read more... )

He might hear someone humming tunelessly in the hallway, a sound that should be familiar and perhaps a bit maddening for its aimlessness. Then of a sudden, the humming stops and someone scurries into the room.

That someone is, of all people, Tsuzuki, hair on end, wearing an unbuttoned green waistcoat and carrying a couple books under his arm, which he may lose his grip on, causing them to drop to the floor.

"Tatsumi?" he asks, surprised.

Tsuzuki had been in the hallway, on his way into the kitchen for a cup or two of tea, when he heard a familiar voice calling out, a voice he'd hope to hear once again.

Naturally he's just assuming he's having that strange dream again.

"Tsuzuki? Why are you in my dream?"

"Ahh, as far as I know, it's not a dream: unless we're sharing it somehow," Tsuzuki replies. "I don't think I'm dreaming now, since I've been here since I stepped through that portal Watari made and that was... three years ago? Gods, the time flies."

"But... that was my dream." Tatsumi answers.

This is just weird.

Should Tatsumi venture into the library, he might come upon an odd sight, a grey, plushy critter that appears to be a donkey, sitting on a window seat, a book open on the cushions before it. At first, it might look like the critter is posed, but then the critter takes up, in its mouth, a clean fountain pen lying on the cushions under the book and slides the point under the page, turning it over.

A plush donkey reading a book...

Being an employee of the ministry of Hades, Tatsumi could say he's seen all kinds of strange stuff, often times everyday.

But he never claimed to see a moving plush donkey reading a book. So he just stares at it.

The critter looks up from the book and turns to look at Tatsumi. "It's rude to stare, but I suppose it's hard not to: not many places where a talking plush donkey can be found reading a book," he says, in a deep, gloomy voice. "I'm Eeyore."

"Hi Eeyore..." He's then silent for a little while.

"How long have you been reading?"

He might come upon a red-blonde woman, sitting beside a baby fort on the floor, a red haired baby girl sitting on her lap while mum has one hand around her waist, while a brown-haired baby boy is in the fort, playing with cloth blocks. Mum seems to be poring over a musical score spread open on the table before her, humming under her breath; little girl is looking up at mum and cooing, while little boy is trying to figure out how to unfasten the plastic and mesh panels of ye baby fort....

And if Tatsumi should look closely, he might notice something odd about the woman, something not entirely earthly...

The secretary has been a bit busy trying to get his bearing around the place, but everytime he feels a little bit relaxed and used to this place, the mansion throws him another curve ball of strange. For instance, while walking about he comes upon a woman with her kids, nothing bad about that... if the woman wasn't busy, he would've talked to her. So he planned to go his way... until he senses something about the woman.

Is... is she dead?

Perhaps she heard his footsteps, or perhaps she senses someone watching her; the woman looks up from her score and turns in her chair. "Oh, hello there, I'm afraid I didn't hear you come in," she says. "Got a bit wrapped up in scanning this score, and my daughter was singing along with me."

"If I disturbed you any, I can leave." Tatsumi a bit nervously explains.
