She might find a *very* handsome gent reclining on a bench on the porch, bundled in a long grey-blue coat, a pot of tea by his side and a leather-covered journal in hand, which he's jotting in. He might seem wrapped up in his thoughts, but... he's more than easily interrupted. Especially by a pretty lady.
He glances up from the journal, a friendly smirk crossing his face. "Oh, just jotting a few notes into the ol' captain's logbook," he says, the smirk turning into a grin that all but glows. "But now I've got something really pleasant to write about: 'Met a pretty lady, who was looking over my shoulder as I jotted down this dull stuff'."
That gets a smile and a blush, and she glances down bashfully.
"Would it make it even more pleasant if the pretty lady told you you were handsome?" she says, and though the words come out a bit timid, there's cheekiness in them, too.
Perhaps in the main room, she comes upon a black dog with absurdly large pricked-up ears which give him a comically surprised look, a bit on the smallish side, lying on a red doggie bed... with an old book like a ledger spread open on the floor before him. He definitely appears to be reading it...
Oddly enough, the doggy looks up, and in a deep, polite voice, replies, "Yes, I was lucky enough to find a book that a friend of mine had written," he says.
Well, Gawain has been in a strange mood. His brother still hasn't reappeared (he knows he will, of course), and his son showed up. So he's happy-grumpy, and insanely protective.
And of course, Lystra needs to be told - of course she does.
That undercurrent of parental sympathy - he knows she will understand.
So when he finds the young mother, he can't help, but smile at her, very tenderly.
[Sorry, I somehow didn't see this log. @_@ My bad.]
Hisoka is in the kitchen, reading a stack of books from the library and brewing coffee. He has wood-shavings and sawdust on the sleeves of his sweater, having recently come in from working on one of his many projects.

"What are you writing?"
She wonders if he's working on a novel, like Catherine.
I have a feeling they'll like each other :P

"Are you reading?" she asks, smiling.
She's not expecting an answer...

And there's always a cup for Lystra.

"Hisoka," she says, when she spots him, looking and sounding utterly serious. "Something terrible's been happening."
