[Open] Blissfully oblivious

Caranthir has been mostly out of sigh - possibly because he's been with the girlfriend, enjoying some torturous rest - hyperactive elves are restless when forced to rest. Then again, maybe he's just been avoiding his father like the plague.

He's in his room, frowning at the walls and wishing for the freedom to get out. His leg doesn't hurt anymore

Eventually he'll hear a light tap on the door frame and a familiar red head pokes through "Hey."

The door swings farther open and a second head joins the first. "Hey."

He can probably tell immediately that this isn't a simple social call.

"He is."

"Is both," adds Pityo.

"Precisely. And the same goes for Ata, as much as I hate to say it." A beat, and he hesitates. "He knows I'm here?"

"He does." They'd mentioned it. Oops.

Commence facepalming.

"Marvelous."

[time_willdecide]

"It wouldn't take him long to find out anyway," Pityo points out. "And if you tried to keep him from finding out it would just make him angry."

"Is he ever in another state?" He rubs his face, looks a bit tired, then faces the twins. "How'd -- how'd it go for you guys?"

"Sometimes. It was better when we were young."

"He wasn't angry when we saw him...but he was not happy with some of the things I said," Pityo says. "I was the angry one."

"We all have at least a piece of his temper," Telvo says. "Some more than others."

[elven_irs]

... wait wait wait. "Hold on." Caranthir thinks this is rich. And it's putting him in a good mood. "What did you tell him?"

He approves, can you tell?

"...I yelled a lot," Pityo says after a pause, darkening a little. "He hadn't known mcuh of what occured after his death. He didn't know about my death. Or Nelyo killing himself. Or Cano wandering away to never be seen again. I asked him if it was worth it. I said that he hadn't crossed the sea to fight the enemy, but only to retrieve the Silmarils. ...I called them baubles. Told him that I'd hated him for centuries." He hunches in on himself a little more with every statement, he'd meant and still does mean every word he said but he can't believe that he'd spoken to their father like that.

Caranthir is visibly impressed. "Wow. Said more than I probably would have. Are you sure you're my little brother?" But he reaches and ruffle's Pityo's hair. "I'm proud of you, bro. I probably wouldn't be any gentler." This gives him courage, actually - he can't not stand up to his father when Ambarussa did. "How about you, Telvo?" Other brother is suspiciously silent. It's worrisome.

He was just so angry, having watched his twin and all of his brothers die off and having a bucketload of issues with daddy anyway. And now he can't believe he did that, yelling at Feanor like that.

"He was upset, about what had happened," Telvo offers quietly, burying himself in his twin's side. "He hadn't known." How could he have, really? "He didn't intend what happened. And he said that the ship...the ship, it was an accident."

"Some accident." That's just a low rumble in his throat. "Did he behave?" Which is Cara-speak for 'was he nice to you?'

He still doesn't forgive himself for not being able to prevent it.

"He did," Telvo says. "Better than I'd ever expected." He hugged us and kept calling us 'his boys' and was affectionate. It was a little strange but made Telvo happy.

Cara nods. "Er, good, I guess." A beat. "He still bent on the Silmarils?"

"He wasn't happy when I called them baubles," Pityo says.

Telvo nods. "He was, but I think once Ambarussa told him some of the things that had happened, he was more concerned for us."
