Sigh, I haven't accomplished much today. I mostly spent my time reading a number of volumes of Cipher by Minako Narita. Cipher is classic shoujo manga-- the copyright date for the first volume is 1984. Reading it is an amusing look back

Cipher is probably the only title that I must buy each time a volume is released so I'm so happy to read your thoughts on it. The author is actually still creating manga; her latest title is Hana Yorimo Hana no Gotoku, about a young girl working in a Noh theater.

But yes, I agree with you that I would love to see more of the 49ers stuff in English. That's why we should all support To Terra when it comes out :) The people who licensed it (Vertical) hinted that if that does well, they may consider picking up The Song of Wind and Trees (which I would die if it ever appeared in the U.S.)
