I’ve never expected much from the Harry Potter film franchise. It has nice visual effects, a fair few national treasures crapping around and having fun, but the way it’s adapted, for me at least, has always been really awkward. I honestly believe they sat down and decided, as a creative team, to give up on the plot because it was already so fucked up.
