Fond memories

I was joking around on DW today, about my non-existing bowling abilities, which I impressively demonstrated in Shibuya's many bowling alleys, and then I remembered an incident that took place during a bowling night.

TMI because it's fun )

Hahaha!

Actually it happened to me more than once-I have this theory that it's more difficult for me to keep westerners apart, because I am visually conditioned to Asians. It's not a regular occurence but I have a hard time recognising people, and often it's not their faces-it's the way they dress, their hair colour and their voices.

We too would make a good recognition team perhaps. I used to be able to remember phone numbers better than faces, as a teenager. It's also a thing that I have in my dreams-often people who are featured in my dreams don't wear the faces they actually wear in RL, but my friend Y will look like my acquaintance X, and X will look like my working colleague F, or they'll wear faces I don't really know at all, and within the same dream people will also change faces (and even gender sometimes).

I'm sorry, I would have teased you too - but in a very good-natured sort of way! It's a very funny story. Obviously, the cheap chardonnay was not doing you any favors.

I will say, you are not the only person with abysmal bowling skills though. To this day, I proudly proclaim that I once achieved the miraculous score of "9" on the lanes. Gutters the entire game, and at the very end, a spare. I'm very proud of that record. I know no one else who has managed to get through an entire game and stay in the single digits. :) AND, as usual with me, I achieved this completely sober.

BTW: I just had to google 'chelsea boots'. I guess that tells you something about how fashion-conscious I am. :)
