haha, I saw The Avengers this weekend and I get the Tom Hiddleston thing, omg! And Thor! Why have I not seen Thor (the movie) yet? Ack! I must get and watch! Why are they both so pretty and so complimentary? I also need to watch Captain America now, but it's way lower on the list of needs than seeing Thor. heh.

Oh dear! You haven't seen Thor yet? The movie itself isn't as good as The Avengers (in my opinion) but Loki's part is much better! Strangely he looks also five years younger, which could be due to stress, lighting or make-up.

If you want-I have Thor, and can upload it to Dropbox! (You have to wait for it a day or so, because I'll be gping to bed soon, and I don't have my HD in the bed room, and then it takes a few hours to upload the movie!)

I am so happy, that you also like Tom Hiddleston. Maybe it'll inspire you ... :D

yes, please, that would be great. If you don't mind - it'll be a bit of an experiment on this much slower internet to see if I can make it work. I have trouble downloading anything. But I'd love to try.

So I thought he was about 40 when I saw The Avengers, and then I went and looked him up when I got back to my friend's place (she was very long-suffering, as I not only dragged her to the movie but then had to get online and look up a lot of stuff - and she's the antithesis of a fangirl) - and he's my age! Only 30. I was like WTF - why does he look so much older!

He looks his age in Thor-for Avengers they needed him to be more menacing, but also wearier (I think he's supposed to have travelled a lot of worlds and experienced a lot of pain, etc between Thor and Avengers). Avengers didn't always light the stars' faces to their advantage, compared to Thor: Hemsworth, Hiddleston and RDJ all looked at times bleached out, and the make-up was visible! Same goes for Scarlett Johannson. She was near flawless in Ironman 2 but in Avengers one could see imperfections on her face.

It might be Joss Whedon's style, but anyway I liked it: Everyone looked more battle-weary and real, and the atmosphere was grittier.

(I found that somehow Chris Evans escaped that curse though: He looked perfect in every scene!) :D

Also I noticed that men change a lot between 25 and 30-the hair starts thinning, the jaw becomes broader, more prominent.

In Unrelated and Wallander Hiddleston had thicker hair than he seems to have now, but it may appear thinner now, because his hair was obviously treated (died and straightened I ( ... )
