Raul Esparza Mon Amour

I really, really can't say if Raul Esparza just slaughtered Hallelujah ... or not? There are parts I like, but it seems to me he sings parts of it too fast. I am too used to K.D. Lang, Tim and Jeff Buckley's versions I guess, but then again I am in love with Raul Esparza so I am just looking at him with heart-shaped eyes

I listened to both, and I see what you mean about seeming to go too fast in parts of Hallelujah. I think ithe feeling of wrongness comes from the contrast with the steady metronome like backing of the piano. I don't know if the piano should have changed pace, or gone silent, or what. *shrugs* Still a powerful singer.

And, yes, A Boy Like This is fabulous. :-)
