No, I am kind of a jerk. I often open my mouth and stick my foot straight in, not on purpose or anything, I just don't always think things through. But in this case I am just so surprised to know that someone actually wanted to claim this thing that I'm sort of sad not to have waited. Then again, it means not having to wait to see the art, so score!

I know that sometimes people are offended by people just making artUh, those people are morons. I can't imagine ever being offended by someone being inspired by something *I* created to make something else. And I thought my ego was out of control

I've gotten that before; the writer didn't think the art was good enough, so they never used it and then used art made by someone else.

Well, that person is the real jerk. It's pretty lame to do that to someone who takes the time to make something for you when they aren't under any obligation.

I've only written one fic for AU BB so far, which is a Kurt/Puck Project Runway AU, where Kurt's an aspiring fashion designer and Puck is his model for a menswear challenge. There's some bonus Finn/Will, because I am completely predictable and cannot help myself.

I have designs on writing a second Puck/Kurt BB over the weekend which would feature Puck as a professional bull rider and the Hummel-Hudsons as cattle ranchers, but we'll see how far I get. The deadline is less than 2 weeks from now and so far I've written 78 words, so.

The other day I was helping a customer with a car repair manual and noticed the section on timing belts and timing chains and I thought of you.

I wasn't even thinking of that particular situation, but hey, there's one example! What I thought when I read her reply to me was, "Good for you." But if I'd been at all inclined to argue with a stranger on the internet (not something I care to do in someone else's journal, for starters) I would have pointed out that making Kurt Hummel a girl negates pretty much everything the character stands for and is therefore not only pretty homophobic, but also just downright stupid and kind of gross. But I was feeling lazy that day ;)

Anyway, thanks. I would like to pretend that someday I'll learn some couth, but really, where's the fun in that?
