“I know,” Mark says. “But can I?”

I am serious when I say that this is quite possibly the hottest thing ever. In fact, the entire thing of Mark being nervous and a little awkward is insanely and a kink I didn't know I had.

Instead he leans in and presses a kiss to the inside of Chris' thigh

“Is this okay?” he asks

YES PLEASE. ♥

And pscha, you know I love the fact that I get to be your sounding board. It makes me crazy happy, even if I am not always the most effective I always enjoy it.

Nervous!Awkward!Mark really is the hottest thing ever. Why do you think I am addicted to all versions of this fandom??

Thanks again! I appreciate it, and you are always effective. <3

Wow, that was hot! Finally, an RPS I actually liked (of course, only you could pull that off!)

I really liked their characterizations, and thought Mark's musings on the inner workings of Chris's mind brought a lot to the story. Also liked Mark's understanding of where he fits into the Glee food chain- it showed a maturity that was nice to read.

I'm glad your mind wouldn't let go of this idea. It was a great read!

LOL, thanks. I really just couldn't get this whole scene out of my head once I read the cookie article. Stupid Chris, being all woobie and vulnerable and making the whole world want to pet him. (I am in this for the Mark! Which, I suppose, is why Mark narrated. I'm all about my favorite characters acting on their love interests. I have very specific kinks.)

I DIGRESS. Thanks for giving this a chance! I surprised myself when I found that I could sell the Mark/Chris to myself a little. Because I really didn't buy them until I gave writing them a go.

Mark's understanding of where he fits into the Glee food chain

Poor Mark. I hope for his sake he *does* realize it. RM's crush on Chris is visible from space, though, so I don't know how he could miss it.

I feel like I should qualify my thoughts on RPS. I should say I haven't liked Glee RPS.

I really liked cinderlily's Cook/Archuleta stuff, but find that alot of the Glee stuff has the actors being more-or-less like their characters from the show, which kind of ruins the idea.

Just thought I should mention that so she doesn't think I'm ragging on her awesome fic!

I am so not an RPS person, but this is yours so I was all over it and wow. Just. *fans self* This was so good and so on when it came to them. You are magic.

LOL, I am not an armchair psychologist, I just play one on the internet.

No, seriously, the trick is to think about the psychology of the characters and how they relate to each other. If you can sell it to yourself, you can sell it to other people. If you can't, just drop it and move along. At least that's how I operate.

(I was surprised to be able to sell this to myself. I really didn't think I could.)

Anyway, thank you! I didn't expect many takers for this one, but it wouldn't go away until I wrote it, so I appreciate you taking a chance. <3

Hey, I think all writers are psychologists in some way. ;) And for exactly the reason you say. You have to sell the characters in order to sell the story, and you sold this like a pro! ...Okay, that didn't sound right, but you know what I mean. :P

I'm glad you got this one out. It was truly a pleasure to read. ♥

This was really quite good. I don't usually read RPS but this one called to me and I'm glad I took the chance/opportunity to read it. It was hot but also real with the awkwardness and Mark reading off Chris' ques but also following his emotion. The lubing with Chris' cum and barebacking was also very hot though probably very very dangerous in terms of STDs lol but really this is fiction so I don't think about that and simply enjoy the sex in its entirety for the hotness it is.

What's weird is that when I'm writing FPS, I'm all about the condoms and making sure everybody's tested before there's any barebacking. But when it comes to RPS, I write the characters being morons about their sexual health. I have no idea why. (Other than statistics that say adults IRL are stupid about safe sex even in this day and age.)

Anyway, thanks! I'm flattered that you took a chance and relieved to hear it was worth your time. Basically this was an idea that wouldn't stop bugging me until I wrote it down, so I was just getting it out of my head. I have enough to do without launching into a whole Mark/Chris project, but it was fun to write this little one-off.

Haha it is quite ironic that you do that but it also makes sense because fiction you truly have control of the characters but in real life people are very careless. STDs are still so rampant even with knowledge of safe sex. Case in point, I remember a guy asked me if he could not wear a condom as long as he pulled out on time, so I totally get it.
