enough of this being responsible bullshit

Further to the scandal at my local Starbucks, I just found out that the manager is leaving as well. This new, kind of annoying girl is apparently manager now. The universe really *is* trying to get me to cut back on the coffee. Fine, universe. YOU WIN. I HOPE YOU'RE HAPPY.

Does anyone on my flist happen to own the Tattooed Tarot? I ask ( Read more... )

I would love to have my back covered and the insides of my arms, but the legs and chest are no-go places. Dunno why. I've seen chest tats that I like, so I know they're not just hipster tags, but still not my thing.

V. curious. What exactly goes into a contact fitting? They don't...they don't touch your eyeball, do they?

Oh, no. You do your own eyeball touching. Basically I am just going to try on the contacts I already have and make sure the prescription still works. I had my actual eye exam last month, and we should have done the fitting then since nothing changed, but for stupid, boring insurance reasons I had to wait a month and pay another copay. Next year I will procrastinate longer and avoid this situation!

I was anti-leg tattoo for awhile, mostly because I like to wear skirts and that limits certain kinds of jobs, but the older I get the more I like the idea of a leg tattoo. I've never considered the chest, but I think I would skip that area as well. My chest is always red from sun exposure and I just don't think ink would hold up well there for me.

Why does the universe want to take away coffee from you? I think the universe is mean.

Okay, I'm thinking the answer is going to make me go: DUH. But why the Queen of Swords?

The universe is cruel indeed.

The Queen of Swords is the card I have always used to represent myself in readings. She's pretty kick-ass, and I haven't found a lot of tattoos of her out there.

Yep and I go: Duh. Sounds like a good representation of you :-)

I used to have a Shakespeare deck but I'm not sure if I still have it, the pictures were pretty cool.

Okay that looks incredibly painful. Really, really painful. Ouch. (I can never understand why people do that to themselves! Isn't that why God made Sharpies???)

Oh, it doesn't hurt that much! It's all in the name of self-expression.

I will defer to your expertise on the matter...and keep my Sharpies close by!
