I saw a commercial today and it caught me so off guard I was tearing up. From the commercial. (To add insult to injury it was a teaser, where they were all standing stock still and staring at the camera.) I think I will watch it all in a glut later in the season, when I can block out a few recovery days at the end.

I'm not sure I'm going to be able to handle it. It snuck up on me, honestly, because they don't usually start until May. I mean, I knew it was coming because of all the marathons they've been showing, but I was sort of pretending it wasn't?

I kept thinking how terrible Jake is going to feel when it turns out that he's been away from his dad during his last season. I hope the producers show lots of familial bonding or I may combust.

Jake Anderson looked like such a complete dork. Just saying. Still, it made me wonder when the pornish stories would start. ::casts hopeful eyes around at pornish writers::

Poor Jake. I would imagine that's part of the reason he got himself a DUI this year. Poor, stupid Jake.

Poor Jake A., too. Having to be 'the new guy' all over again was obviously hard for him. At least he's with a good crew and not those jackasses over on the Time Bandit, though. (I will not even speak that other boat's name.)

It does seem that both boys ended up with crews that would take care of them. That's good. Still, Jake A looked like he was feeling pretty rejected by psuedo-dad Sig...and that's going to come back sometime as a problem.

Jake H has so much growing up to do and now no one that will be there to goad him into it. Poor bastard.
