Sorry about your co-worker, that really is awful. Sending lots of good vibes towards her.
I love the name Siobhan, not sure about the actual person on AI named Siobhan yet. Mostly, I just like Aaron because he seems like a good kid and wish I liked Katie Stevens more out of CT loyalty.
Heh. I heard Katie has a huge fan base there, so I'm not surprised she's still around. They're just all so *bad* this season. Then again, Miley Cyrus is just as bad, and she's famous. So there you go.
My coworker is from Connecticut! That's why I love her so much; we speak the same language. But she doesn't take care of herself, which is frustrating because I would rather she not die just now. She's only 60, for crying out loud.
Katie's voice is great, though last night, not so much. And I wish they'd stop telling all the mediocre ones to sing country. Like the country industry needs any more help in embarrassing the American music scene. Gokey? Really?
Don't worry about it. I totally understand. I hope her doctors are able to help her get things under control.
And, helpfully enough, the Sierra Club is doing a hike the weekend I was going down to see you, so I can still go hiking anyway. It sucks that I won't get to see you, but maybe we can squeeze it in another weekend at some point.
Thanks for understanding. I will figure out which weekends I'm not working back to back and check with you. Maybe I can come up there; I could use a trip to Lush, and there's one in Louisville.
Whatever works easiest for you. I know your schedule is less predictable than mine. I've checked google calendar (it really is awesome, as I believe you've told me), and my weekends are free after Easter weekend all the way through May - at least at this particular moment, anyway. (And, wow, how the year is flying...)
I'm sure your Favorite Coworker is comforted by her fellow librarians helping out. It seems like a small thing to you but to someone sick and worrying about their position? it's a kindness that leads to peaceful sleep.
I'd have to rewrite it from the beginning. Oh, god, do I ever love that moment. And I've also never completely re-written anything -- I feel like once there are words on a page and they make sense that it would be really sad to just throw them away.
