"It's not like I was expecting anything. But I'm not interested in messing up anybody else's life, either."

I think I told you in my beta but I love this. I love that Josh is trying to play it off and play it strong but at the same time he is giving a piece of himself away in a a single line of dialogue. Similarly in:

"Yeah," Josh said, pressing another kiss against Jake's lips. "You don't even have to call first."

I love that they started dating in an unspoken way, just the moment of not wanting anyone else and then boom, it was like they both got it. I loved that it was one of those moments where you got both of them to the same moment of growth and change on totally different paths.

My heart breaks a little with the parts about Phil, particularly how they always joked about it but when it becomes a real possibility it scares the crap out of them. I love Phil staying who he is and you know it absolutely warmed me up to know that Phil knows and wants him to be happy even if he doesn't understand it. I love... Gah. I love this ( ... )

Oh, God, Phil *kills* me all the time with his health issues. I just...yeah, I am far too emotionally invested in Josh's concern for his father.

Anyway! Thank you thank you a zillion times, once again, for everything. You were a big part of this fic, which you probably don't realize, but you shoved me in the right direction when I really needed it, and you came through with that gorgeous cover, and you cheerleaded, and you were just you, which is always awesome. I'm just glad I could give you a little reading material in return. Thanks again. ♥

Okay, I don't even know who these people are, but I remembered your name from way back when I first started reading fanfic, and I was into CSI: Miami, so I knew that even if I didn't know who it was about, it was still bound to be excellent.

And it is.

This is so amazing. I don't know the show terribly well but that didn't matter as you wrote it so well that it described the characters perfectly!
It was a fabulous read before sleeping and gave me sweet dreams.

This was just so awesome. I loved it. Realistic, good characterization, all of that. I read it all in one go because I kept wanting to know what would happen between them next. JakeA/Josh ftw!

You know how much I love these two idiots, so even though I complained about it I loved writing it. Thanks!
