Can I read this without any Deadliest Catch clue except for what I've read by 'eavesdropping' on you and Michelle sometimes and your DC icon?

I suppose there's a decent amount of canon knowledge implied as far as the fishing and the other characters. It's hard for me to say, I guess, but this one is probably fairly entrenched in the fandom universe? You're really not missing much, though. I know I say that all the time, but it's true. I mean, I love these two and I love this little fictional universe a lot, but I'm pretty lazy in my fic-writing these days so there's no groundbreaking prose here or anything.

You are sweet! Thanks. I mean, I guess what you really need to know is they fish crab for a living, which is very MANLY, so there's lots of angst about being in the closet. And Josh's dad almost died last season. Really, of all the fics I've written about them, though, my best, I think, is this.

They are pretty cute, I have to say.

I'd been waiting for the whole fic to get posted before reading, and I have to say I'm glad I waited. The whole fic was really awesome. I love their relationship, and while the reality of their situation makes me sad, it also made for a really good fic. Awesome.

The plan, since I have never explored how they got together, is to start at the very beginning. So we'll see how that goes.
