This was ... every single thing I could have wanted out of a them fic and then there is MORE tomorrow and you just. For me? Really? Thank you so much.

I love that Wendell takes him into his father's room and makes Jack listen and I love that Booth holds Alex and tells her about hockey. I love that Brennan cooed at her and that Jack was like WHAT? But you know Booth just kind of beamed. (Cause he loooves her. :)) And Wendell calling all of his relatives but it doesn't matter that Jack doesn't have family cause now he DOES

Aw, well, if anybody deserves lovely presents on their birthday, it's you. Plus, we have all these little snippets of their life together scattered throughout comments, so it was easy to sort of compile they into one fic.

I was going to try to work in the scene where Wendell's mom tells him to get the records out of her house, finally, and Jack goes all o.0 at the idea of having them in *his* house, but then totally caves because he is that whipped. But it didn't fit. Maybe someday!

PS: I firmly believe every little girl should get princessed. I saw a little mini-parade of princessed six-year-olds at Magic Kingdom and I was all, "AW ALEX." Lame, but true.

Oh Caroline. I just. I don't even know what to say. This was just so utterly utterly beautiful and wonderful and lovely, and I read the whole thing through just scrunching in on myself with an excessive amount of "omg adorable" squeefulness and making little squeaking sounds. They are just so absolutely wonderful. Thank you so much for writing this. I know it's for Liz, but thanks for sharing it with the rest of us. ♥

Technically Jack pays his salary - or his company does, anyway - and he’s not above using that fact to get what he wants.
Exactly. Even if anyone tried to do anything, Jack could just be all "fuck all y'all, maybe I'll just leave with Wendell and bring my money with me. Let's see how well you do without us," and whoever it was would cave.
