Oh Caroline... My toes curled and a grin spread across my face at the end of this. I spent most of it aching for Wendell, cause Jack just wasn't getting it, and I have totally been the jealous one before and then to be the one who is in the fight when the other one is like, "Oh come on, whatever" kind of hurts. And I just love this. Love that it is how they say I love you to each other. Love that Wendell takes a second to process it and I love that he is still nervous but I love that he looooooooooovvvvves Jack. <3

(Also, I had the funny image of his suitemate in his dorm being like, "You still go here?" and Wendell being in a bad enough mood to just roll his eyes and shut his door and put on music to ignore the stupid dorm room atmosphere. It gives me weird glee. :))

Ahahahaha the imagine of his suitemate is priceless! And poor, heartbroken Wendell's grumpy face, because his dorm is the LAST place he wants to be.

I'm so glad you enjoyed this! I had a little panic attack when I started thinking about your request, to be honest, because I have been avoiding this itty bitty bit of angst as much as possible. But it needed to be dealt with eventually, and now they can get on with the business of living happily ever after with no doubts between them, and that is more than worth putting Wendell through this little bit of pain.

(And the follow-up make-up sex I am probably going to write will deal with any loose ends, so we can really get on with the happily ever after :))

That was perfect...it was definitely something that was going to have to happen eventually. I mean it's not like we can all just pretend Zack didn't exist, right. And I loved the way you handled it here. Wendell being a little jealous and Jack just not getting it at first...wonderful. Then the dawning of what was going on, and Jack telling Wendell that he's fallen in love with him...silly grin, because that's so sweet. Oh and then Wendell needing a second to wrap his mind around what Jack had just said...and then telling Jack that he loved him....*does a happy dance*

Anyway, I feel like I'm rambling a bit, but that fic was just *LOVE*

Exactly, we have to accept that they both have pasts, and Jack's in particular is complicated. So it's best to deal with it; just like pulling off a Band-Aid!

It's canon. And they actually referred to it as an "anger management technique," so you didn't word it wrong at all.

That is an excellent AU idea. I think it would also work really well with Morgan/Reid, though I can't decide who would be the model in that scenario. Matthew's got the RL experience, obviously, but Shemar's beautiful too. Decisions, decisions ;)

Back to the point! Hodgins does have a temper for sure. I imagine he'd be difficult to live with sometimes, but Wendell's pretty even-keeled, so they're well-suited.
