Hey, did anybody ever write the BWOC AU where Tommy gets stuck in the alternate universe from Dances Without Wolves? ( This got a little long, so I'll cut it. )
Heh, and yet that has never stopped me. I have read some pretty unenthusiastic reviews of my renditions of Tommy and Merton (which, granted, are different than the show and therefore kind of OOC), but I still write them anyway. More's the pity. It just sucks when you really want to *read* a pairing you love but you can't, because you're the only one writing them. Same goes for Dead Man on Campus.
That excuse does not hold water in this fandom because in 2003, I think, I sent copies of this show to anyone who wanted them. It cost me over four hundred dollars in the end. And even before that, there were other people writing in this fandom, so I *know* there are other writers out there. I think I am just the most prolific of the lot.
Are you talking about the Touching Evil DVDs? What original movie?
You did? Wow. Then you're absolutely right. They should be churning out fic instead of begging for it. Oh, wait. That doesn't apply to Nick/Greg, right? Totally different.
Yes. Sorry. Spazz in the morning, here. "Touching Evil" it is.
There was a movie on TV called "Touching Evil". It had a British cast...maybe it was a made for TV one based on the British show? I don't know. It was a little different than the story line on the American version but the premise was similar. I liked Jeffrey Donovan better...but then I always do.
I know, it was crazy! And also a great example of how I burned myself out in fandom.
Ah, I did not realize there were any movie-length installations of the British version. Then again, I have never watched the British version, so maybe that's what it was. I am not fond of the guy who played Jeffrey's role in the original so I never bothered. Jeffrey, of course, makes everything better. Jeffrey + Bradley Cooper? Perfection.
I got to your third paragraph and apparently thought you said "remember this scene", and clearly I did not remember the scene. I was like WAIT WHAT WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN I AM SOOO REWATCHING BWOC. *cough* Next time I'll read a little more slowly.
Um. So. Definitely haven't read that, but I would. It sounds awesome.
Hee! But you know, that show delivered the gay pretty regularly, so I cannot complain. I did actually spend almost that entire episode waiting for someone to out alterna!Tommy to himself, so it was vaguely disappointing when they chickened out. It was totally implied, though.
It really did. Sometimes I wonder why I love slash/homoerotic subtext so much, then I look at the shows I grew up with and just realize it's the norm for me! Thank you, Big Wolf!
I definitely feel like rewatching this episode now, though. *scurries off to find it* I need to put my BWOC eps on DVDs instead of leaving them on my dad's computer.
Apparently Tommy's dating this guy now *points to her icon*dancinbutterflyJanuary 15 2009, 18:58:50 UTC
Do you know where i can download the show? I havent seen it since...god, it went off the air back in the first half of the decade. Tommy's playing Lloyd's gay boyfriend Tom over on Entourage now. All I want is a fic where we find out how the well Tommy lost Merton, came out, and ended up in LA dating "gay-sian Lloyd". It's the crossover I've been dying for for, oh, I dont know, 3 years now.
Edit: Did I mention they kept his dog-nature over on Entourage? "Tom" actually barks at Lloyd one of the few times we get to see him. It's begging for a crossover.

Yeah, I knew he was on Entourage, but I can't make the commitment to that show for Brandon's sake. I have my limits when it comes to him, apparently. Maybe somebody on Entourage is a BWOC fan, or they just thought it was funny to make a nod to his cheesy kid's show beginnings. Which is sort of awesome.
Most of the show is on Youtube, though I checked earlier and this episode isn't there. I don't know if there are torrents, but there probably are somewhere.
