So I'm not really sure how I went from plotting AUs based on Deadliest Catch to writing RPS about two of the guys from the show. It's a slippery slope and I've been falling down it for a long time, so I should probably be used to it by now

Ahem. Sorry, I got distracted there for a second. Thanks for reading! I had no idea there were so many closet Deadliest Catch slashers, but it makes me immeasurably happy since I have already outlined six more fics. Not that I'm obsessed or anything.

(But, honestly, really really good. Now I have to figure out where I can find episodes of Deadliest Catch.)

Heh. It's angsty because of their lifestyle! It's not my fault they work on crab boats. But at the same time, I think Josh's dad would still love him if he was gay. He's that kind of guy. So maybe it's not all hopeless. You never know how things will turn out for the fictionalized versions of these very real people. (RPS is so creepy when you think about it logically!)
As for episodes, you can Netflix 'em. I am working on season one right now, since I just started watching two weeks ago. I'm not sure when Jake shows up, but I don't think it's until season three. Josh's boat isn't even on season one, so I'm still waiting for them to arrive. I like to have a complete chronology, though, so I'm watching from the beginning. Also, Mike Rowe's voice. ::draws hearts around it::

I have so much to netflix. I still have 2 seasons of Starsky & Hutch to get through, and I'm kind of distracted from them by Barney Stinson at the moment (but I've entered season 3, so there's not too much longer now...and I am SO GLAD that Ted and Robin have finally broken up, thank god). But I get you on starting from the beginning - I am so that way with everything.

There's a huge difference between the two. I really just don't get how incest managed to become the new thing in fan fiction. Like people don't even bother to consider the issues with it. Especially when you're writing it about real people. I mean, wtf.

(Thank you for the helpful primer - it meant I had a clear picture of who you were talking about, which is all I ever ask.)

You're welcome for the primer! Thanks for reading; I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I don't know what it is about these two that fascinates me; probably the very testosterone-laden, misogynist world in which they dwell.
