Fic: (Brotherhood II, Harlan/Marcus, PG)

Dec 06, 2007 07:13

Today's offering combines one of my favorite pairings with one of my favorite Christmas songs. The two are otherwise unrelated, but that's okay. Maybe anyone who might be interested already has the soundtrack to A Charlie Brown Christmas, but just in case you don't, today I give you a non-traditional Christmas song from that album. For my fic ( Read more... )

"You planning to bail on me any time in the next sixty years?"

THAT IS PERFECT. I can't.... wow. I can't.... I feel like a broken record when I say this, but yea. You got it in one. That was perfect and romantic and HarlanMarcus and... You got them married and it worked. You win.

I'm honestly relieved this worked for everyone else, because I sometimes worry that I romanticize these two way too much. I mean, in my head they are OMGMarried, and in Harlan's head they are too, but he's such a badass (with a marshmallowy center, of course) that it's not always so easy to pull off.

Also? I noticed upon rereading this today that Marcus is barefoot. I swear it's a coincidence! But an awesome one, really.

Ooh so schmoopy and Harlan is really a romantic. It's kind of cool considering one wouldn't think he'd be from his outside persona. They're all ringed! YAY.

I love that.

And Peanuts CHristmas Music for the win!

I worry sometimes that I make him too romantic, but he insists that it's practical romance. He just wants to keep Marcus happy because it makes Harlan's life easier. (Also, he's still scared Marcus will leave again, but he doesn't want to talk about it.)

Nah, I don't think you make him too romantic, he's perfectly Harlan romantic. And it makes sense's he's terrified Marcus might leave again.

Clearly! That is GORGEOUS and I will not write a fic in which Marcus buys it for Harlan or vice versa. Okay, maybe I will. Thanks so much for the link! I am always glad to meet more Harlan/Marcus fans.

Like I just said in the txt. I'm crying. This is so perfect and even though the Harlan in my head is glaring at me for saying this, I always knew he'd be the one to propose. Oh, now he's rolling his eyes at me. I love it.
