My weekend didn't go exactly as planned.

I pre-ordered HP7 from Amazon, of course, but I was completely prepared to put off reading (mostly) while ruggerdavey was in town for the weekend. I have been looking for *years* for decent Dean/Seamus. It must be hiding *somewhere*! Because they're so wonderful, and Seamus is all "rawr, follow the crowd, I have no idea what I am doing" and Dean is all "stfu, twat. ilu." But, you know, far more eloquent than that.

I read these two amazing HP fics years ago; one of them was, possibly, Draco/Harry after the final battle and they were having to remove all these curses and spells that were boobytrapping Hogwarts and it was so very, very good. And another where the war went horribly wrong and the students gave up their lives to protect Hogwarts and it was dark and there was eating of elves and oh man, I wish I could find them again, but alas (earwax) they were years and two computers ago.

I can only help you with the first, which is, of course, the lovely Harry/Draco classic Transfigurations by Resonant. I've never heard of the elf-eating fic and I'm pretty sure I don't want to. But when you're barely on the fringes of a fandom, you tend to miss a lot. Especially in a fandom that ate the internet.

I am going to find the good Dean/Seamus fic if I have to write it myself it kills me. Hahahaha. How funny would it be if I became a member of HP fandom now, when we have reached the end of canon? Though I would still, of course, be steeped in obscurity, as I write only rareslash and never venture off my friends list.

THANK YOU. I read that years ago, but not taking any part in the fandom I had no idea who wrote it. The other fic was... oh, I wish I could remember. It was actually beautifully written.

If you find it, let me know! Or, you know, write some :D Oh mate, that would be awesome. And the HP rareslash pairings are the best.

Have you visited deamus? It's a Dean/Seamus comm, and there's more fic there than I expected. I haven't started reading yet, but it's something. I still await the post-DH fic, but in the meantime I've already read a decent George/Lee post-canon fic.

Griff/Jarod rocks. I'm a sucker for the Jock/nerd pairing, I admit it *g*. I could've done without the 'Muffler' character though- a very nasty caricature of a lesbian indeed. The film works best in the bits that *don't* ape AMERICAN PIE, in my opinion...

Another Dean/Seamus girl! I feel like we should start a club with a secret handshake or something. I wish I knew where good fic for them was, but I have no idea. It's the HP fandom, it has to exist someplace, I just don't know where.

I have always had a passing fondness for them, but between movie 5 and book 7, I am in love. There's a comm: deamus, but I haven't explored the fic as yet. Though now you know what I will be doing when I get home from work.

I downloaded it from you, and it still lives very happily on my iPod, so no worries : ) Besides, I don't mind supporting gay cinema, and if I buy it maybe they'll make a sequel? (Hope does spring eternal, but I want Muffler and Griff/Jarod on spring break, damn it.)

Tomorrow I am going to visit the Biltmore Estate with my sister. It should be low-key and involve listening to her complain about her mother-in-law. I'd rather stay home and read, but alas. I'm hoping there's cake, at least : )

I would kill for more Griff/Jarod. They are just far too cute together and the thought of you writing more with them in it makes me oh so happy. Muffler I could live without *G*.

And hey, cake is of the good for sure. I have my fingers crossed that it will be a tasty one.
