Two birthdays today. First, happy birthday to stormwind. I hope that this year brings you a new job that you find fulfilling and as stress-free as possible.

Secondly, happy birthday to my girl, rainydaypsycho. You're like a sister and I don't remember a time when I haven't known you. You're a cool girl (despite the questionable taste in music) and you're hilarious ( Read more... )

motocrossed, fic, fic: motocrossed, disneyslash

That was cute. I still haven't tracked down the movie so I have only a faint memory of what you'd said about it. Still, this worked. *g*

At first I went straight to the pairing without looking at the fandom and was rather confused by the pairing. I thought of Andrew from Buffy paired with Dean from Supernatural. Quite the odd couple but I'm thinking it would be hilarious. *g*

bwah at the crossover couple of weirdness... I'm not sure that Dean would put up with that Andrew, though.

Maybe not as a couple couple, but it would be hilarious to see them interact. Since the thought entered my brain I've been thinking up ways to get them to meet.

Maybe the Scoobies and the Winchesters bump into each other while going after something and through a magic snafu, Dean and Andrew can't go further than 3 feet from each other.

Or Sam and Andrew get body-switched while they're on different continents.

Clichés all, but could still be fun.

Help, I'm being attacked by bunnies. *g*

I have no idea who Andrew from Buffy is, so I'm going to take your work for it. The names in this fandom are kind of confusing, though, given that the twins have more or less the same name. Which is the whole point of the movie, but it gets confusing when writing fic. I figured that would be pretty confusing for people who aren't familiar with canon, but at least the meta sort of explained it.

Aw...cute! Am I mean for not feeling sorry for Andy at all? Probably.

*sigh* The world totally needs more Motocrossed fic. *nods*

No, you're not. Andy kind of sucks and I don't feel that sorry for her either. She'll get over it.

This is one of those movies that has to be slashed just to validate its existence, really. So you can see how I had to. Plus, they're really, really cute and fucked up and that's just how I like my fictional teenagers : )

PS: I was going to write Sky High slash but Will and Warren wouldn't cooperate. Warren, mostly. He heard my idea and just kept glaring until I gave up.

Aw. They are so adorable and cute. It makes me want to go read some Bash Brothers slash. Fulton/Portman - le sigh.

I personally think there should be movies like this out there - as in with the gay. Like gay young adult novels. Not that I've read any (sadly), but that's what one girl in my queer lit class wrote her paper on my sophomore year. Queer people in general don't get much validation in film media in general, let alone that geared for teens (seriously, yo, I remember watching Mean Girls, and the gay kid is the only one who doesn't end up with someone at the end). And I'm getting all meta on you. Sorry 'bout that. You're just thought provoking, I guess.

It really was a sweet fic. *pets them*

Bash Brothers fic was also on the list of potentials for birthday fic, but Andrew was more cooperative so this is what I wrote. Fulton and Portman don't really work with me as far as inspiration goes. I have no idea why, the possibilities should really be endless with those two.

I'm too tired to meta back at you, but there are starting to be *some* positive representations of gay kids in young adult media. Princess Diaries 2 springs to mind, even though it's just a mention, and the Princess Diaries books, while they don't have actual gay characters, have positive mentions of gay culture. And there's Boy Meets Boy and that other book...Are We There Yet? I think it might be called. Not that there's a lot, of course, but baby steps, I guess.
