Fic (Miami, Speed/Tyler, PG)

Dec 21, 2004 09:41

nekosmuse requested post-apocalyptic fic, and since I have nothing better to do until it's time to go back to That Job, I wrote a little something. It's CSI: Miami and it's schmoopy and sentimental because that's the kind of mood I'm in. Deal with it.

In which I fix things that are broken. And I finally get to use that cabin in the woods. )

fic: miami, miami, fic

I think you're being too kind, but it was fun to finally rewrite the embarrassing demise of Tim Speedle, so thanks for the inspiration. Except now he's bitching at me in my head that the log cabin AU was supposed to be a *nice* cabin, not some run-down hovel in North Carolina where they have to hide from zombies and whatnot. He's never happy.

I didn't say I was going to write it ; ) Lord, the action that would involve. Speed's rolling his eyes in my head. Tyler thinks it's a good idea, though.

I didn't even name the thing, so I don't know. But an AU version of post-apocalyptic life would be hard to write. And rather bleak. You never know, though.

I like to picture H as a sort of Venus on the Halfshell, floating above the tidal wave on a giant clam shell. Ha. I kill me.

It's possible I didn't get enough sleep last night.

My bosses are now wondering why I have tears in my eyes. ::sniff:: I can so see them curled up by a fire all nice and warm; with Speed worrying about the future...I'm being harrased by a cop now, so I'll comment more when I get home.

Just tell them it's allergies. Sorry about that, I was in a sentimental mood.

That was just beautiful....Speed/Tyler living on in revisionist history. It really was just lovely. Even if they were hiding in a hovel from whatever might be out there during the impending apocalypse.

And the idea of H and the SOJ going down with the ship, hysterical--love that idea to pieces.

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed. They've been living a little revisionist version of the universe in my head since the beginning of the season, so it was fun to write a bit of it down (even though the original didn't involve the end of the world).
