Yuletide nominations allegedly open today. I'm still not 100% sure what I'm going to request, but I already made a deal with strangers on the internet vis-a-vis nominations, so I will stick with what I promised

I'm not caught up on Warehouse 13 at all. In fact I'm a couple seasons not caught up, but I'll get there eventually. It's fun and that counts for a lot for me.
Are happy endings limiting? I (and I know manymany like me) don't enjoy the non-happy (or at least moving on/hopeful) ending and avoid them like the plague. I guess if I'm reading for pleasure I want it to be a pleasure. ::shrugs:: (Truman Capote said he killed off his hero first and then wrote the story...sometimes it stuck, sometimes it didn't. He was pretty successful.)
I will keep my opinions about Truman Capote to myself.
I just like to try to expand my range sometimes, and it never really goes well. I love the characters too much and don't want to see them unhappy, I suppose. There's nothing *wrong* with a hopeful ending, and there's certainly enough bad in the world already. It just all starts to feel the same to me after awhile, so I like to stretch myself by trying new things.
That makes perfect sense. I understand what you mean now.
(What about Truman Capote? I never actually read any of his work with the exception of In Cold Blood and Breakfast at Tiffany's so I am not in a position to say anything. He was on an interview show I saw about 20 years ago and that statement I quoted stuck with me. No clue why!)
I think you might love last week's episode. I know I did. When I asked you what season you were on it was because I wanted to know if you'd gotten to Helena. I love Helena/Myka!
And for the record I love your happy endings. I'm sorry if you feel limited, but I think some people are incapable of writing happy endings and that is even worse.
Finn Hudson, International Spy: the Glee spinoff movie I've always wanted.
I love ALL the episodes. Seriously. And I love that this show does Christmas episodes. It makes me so happy, I hope there's another one this year. (I'm still worried about Steve's longevity, though.)
Helena/Myka is really lovely. I haven't read any of the fic yet because I want to finish the canon first, but then I will hit up AO3.
I keep thinking I need to pick up a jammie pants pattern (actually I have an old pair that has a hole in the knee that I keep contemplating pulling apart and making a pattern from)so that I can make several pairs and not have to spend a fortune on cute ones from the store. JoAnn's just got in a bunch of great new flannels and fleeces that are adorable and with my coupon they would be super inexpensive to make.
Ah, Finn Hudson, International Man of Mystery. Hey if Mater from Cars can become a spy, I imagine even Finn Hudson might be able to pull it off!
Pajama pants are stupid easy to make. It didn't even take me two hours, and that's with making the drawstring, and you know how fiddly that is. I have some flannel around somewhere that I got on sale, so I will whip up another pair one of these days.
Now I want an AU where Finn is the most bumbling spy since Inspector Gadget. Kurt would be the much smarter, put-upon sidekick, of course.
(Sorry. Apparently I used up all my typing this weekend.)
seconding the vote for spy!Finn (and Kurt) fic! that sounds magical. plus i know from the great suspense and intrigue of Home Is that you could do it so well!*
*edit: i typed this as "Hoe Is" on my iPod touch. that would have been a very different fic, haha.
Canonically gay character where his sexuality is not a Thing!
I think my favorite bit in *can't remember the episode* is where a shirtless!Pete makes a comment about Steve checking him out and Steve replies something to effect of just because he's gay doesn't mean he finds Pete attractive!
Yay for comfy fleece pants and the 4000 words you managed to write. :)
