No, you're not the only one. This episode was so. Boring. The only dance I really paid attention to was Cole's because he's can't not be amazing. And Cyrus was good, too, but man, recycling the choreography like that was just terrible.
Matthew is the one who is supposed to resemble Ryan Gosling. I don't know how ANYONE can be expected to live up to Twitch, Neil, or Katie. I like Cyrus and he seems nice and is amazing at his style, but he's not my favorite. It's all about Cole and Chehon for me this season. And Eliana. The only great thing in the episode was Cole acting like an emotionless puppeteer. I'll just go watch Jess & Tadd kiss now. Did you see Alex Freaking Wong finished with Newsies a few weeks ago?
Yeah, that kid looked nothing like Ryan Gosling. I like Chehon a lot too, but for a non-dancer like myself Cyrus is really entertaining to watch. Us lay-people love the b-boys.
I didn't see that Alex left Newsies, no. I wonder why he'd do that when they extended through January. He must have gotten another job, unless he's hurt himself again.
Not just me then.jengeorgeAugust 16 2012, 15:24:31 UTC
I think perhaps because last season was just so spectacular, this season just falls short. I haven't even been watching it when it comes on, just catching it later on my DVR and skimming through it. Last season I could hardly wait for it to air and made a point to watch it live.

Well, it's 174 more words than yesterday so that's a win in my book! And the fact that you didn't just fall asleep at the seminar is impressive in and of itself. That sounded ridiculously boring!
True, Streetscapes, combined with the live action version being played out with Tadd and Jess, did make for pretty compelling viewing. Plus I was hardcore rooting for Melanie last season and this year no one has really captured my heart.

You say that because you don't know what I've been working on. (At least it's not fan fiction!)
Yeah, there's not really anyone to root for this season. I think I only like Cyrus because he reminds me a little of early Twitch. I want to like the girls but mostly I don't care about any of them, except for the ones I actively dislike. It's a problem.
It really was strange the way the show played out the fic last summer. It was one of those perfect coincidences that will never happen again.

Jeremy is leaving around Labor Day due to his shooting schedule for Smash. We saw it at a REALLY good time!

1000 words? Woot!!

(It probably doesn't hurt that we were both totally wrapped up in Streetscapes through all of last season.)
So far today I have written...174 words! But those were mostly written during my management seminar, so that's sort of an impressive word count.
